If I had viewed this book prior to buy I would not have bought it. Its got some weird designs and all I really wanted was some clear patterns etc for quality shirts.

I read all the reviews here and expected a fantastic professional book.
The book is nice and give a lot of information about shirtmaking. But you have to dig really hard to find the vital information. It was disappoting to see that the book doesn’t include a method of making a pattern for the yoke, and as a replacement for recommands copying from commercial pattern or an existing shirt. It also doesn’t show how to make a shirt based on figure measurments.
It’s a nice book for beginners, and home sewers.

I’ve establish this book very informative on shirt building. I like the detail to which he clarifies his method of improving construction of shirts and the detailed pictures. The only drawback is the emphasis on using a felling foot that is only establish on American machines.

This book is very simply the best shirtmaking book available. It presents processes clearly and painstakingly clarifies their weight to the finished product. Also, it has a fantastic section of patterns for collars, pockets and cuff plackets… extremely useful. By the way, their placket construction guide makes the most gorgeous placket I have ever seen, That alone makes the book worth its money!
