I like Regency romances and this is one of the best I have ever read. Beth Banning and Neil Severin strike sparks off each additional from the beginning, and their passion burns ever hotter throughout the book. The tale is full of excitement and adventure, but the romance never falters. Truly an enjoyable read.

Karen Robards is an auto-buy leader for me. I am tickled that the Banning Sisters Trilogy is being offered in audio format. My inclination is unabridged on CDs. The pace of Shameless was quick and exciting, never predictable. I also delight in Karen Robards’ romantic suspense novels. Keep writing Karen!

Government-sanctioned assassin Neil has broken into the Duke of Richmond’s home for one purpose: to kill Richmond, the only man who knows Neil’s right identity and the one that has authorized Neil’s assassination. When he runs into Beth, Neil comes up with an even better plot, and schemes to kidnap Beth and use her to lure the duke, her brother-in-law, to his demise. Only things go terribly awry when Beth is abducted by an mad ex- fiancé first. Now Neil must rescue Beth, outwit persons after him, and prevent himself from falling into the one trap that could kill him…or save him: like.
Excellent things come to persons who wait, and that’s certainly right for readers, like myself, who have been waiting a long time to see the spirited Beth Banning get her own tale. Karen Robards ends her Banning Sisters trilogy on a high note with Shameless. Beth is the same headstrong, irrepressible character she was in her sisters’ books, Scandalous and Irresistible. I adore her for her might of character, loyalty, and fortitude. She goes through some honestly upsetting ordeals (which I won’t spoil) and uses her brain to get out of them. As for the man who captures Beth’s heart…well, it takes a special kind of hero to match such a strong heroine. Happily, Neil is more than up to the task. I like that he’s a take-charge kind of hero, but also listens to Beth. The two are perfect for one another and I delighted in watching them fall in like.
Though it’s the final book in the Banning Sisters trilogy, Shameless can be read on its own. There are a few references to events in Scandalous and Irresistible, but no major spoilers. For me, it was wonderful to revisit all my favorite characters from the first two books. Overall, I establish Shameless to be an delightful tale and an exciting conclusion to a fantastic trilogy.

A fantastic regency romance novel by Karen Robards and expertly performed and read by Rosalyn Landor in Audio form. The voices are distinguishable and the characters are believable. The novel has a lot of action and romance. The sexual scenes are described in excellent taste.I agree that Karen Robards should write more books in this genre.

Although the Napoleonic Wars are over with the small dictator dead, in 1817 the British War Office still seeks out French sympathizers. Near the top of their wanted dead list is treacherous half British-half French assassin Neil “Angel of Death” Severin.
When Neil and Lady Elizabeth Banning meet, each is straight away attracted to one another after he rescues her from her latest rejected suitor. But, Beth is unaware that her hero is playing a deadly game with her brother-in-law preparation to use her as a pawn in a deadly cat and mouse contest. But, his scheme is devastated when he falls in like and when sex slavers kidnap his beloved Beth to sell at auction in Trelawney Castle. In spite of knowing the risk he takes, Neil attempts a rescue that if he succeeds puts him in jeopardy with the Home Office.
The third Banning Sisters Regency romance (see Scandalous and Irresistible) is a fantastic quick-paced adventure tale from the moment Neil crashes the ball and never slows down. The lead couple is a terrific pairing as she rejects suitors though that hurts her reputation and he has a death warrant issued for his head. With a wonderful twist, Karen Robards provides a fabulous past tale.
