I had high hopes for this book, especially because there are not very many books on older children clothes. The projects are weird drama-clown-like clothes not actual clothes kids would wear. Maybe people living in places like California or Miami. The project were not inspirational to me at all. Get it from the library before buying it and you choose. For me its was a disappointment. In my opinion.

I had such high hopes for this book and sorry to say, there is not one thing that I would be able to make, based upon the confusing directions, descriptions, etc. The skirt on the take in looked like something I would have loved building, but I would not know where to start. You probably have to be a very veteran seamstress to make it, along with all of the additional patterns in the book. Such a disappointment and waste of money

I have long loved sewing patterns from Europe and was tickled to see this publication. Creativity and variations are unlimited, and your kids will LOVE LOVE LOVE them. My daughter gets at least 4 variations of the Feliz dress a year, and I paid $14 for that pattern…..this book is on sale for 16 and you get 10 patterns! Loads of information on sewing included, plus gorgeous photography. My new favorite sewing book.

I have this book for two weeks now, already made two items from it – the INSA skirt and the the Riviera leggings, and in the process of building my third item.
I’ve made the Feliz dress before, I have this pattern in seperate from the book,
So –
pros – Fantastic patterns, fantastic pictures, fantastic fit, fantastic explanations, fantastic size range. I agree, the examples showed are very embalished, personally – I like it, but it is vital to remember that you can make the clothes far less embalished.
Cons – not much, but still – I find it upsetting that 4 of the patterns existed already, I own the Feliz dress (and like it), but needless to say – I wouldn’t buy it if I knew it was in the book…
My favorite patterns from there – the Dortje pants, Felz, Manhetten, INSA and Brooklyn shrug,
but really – they are all so pretty – and very well clarified.
