Sent starts where Establish finished. Jonah, his sister Katherine their friend Chip and Alex “land” in the fifteenth century. Jonah and Katherine were not supposed to time travel to the fifteenth century with Chip and Alex. They could mess up history. With the help of the Elucidator they are able to keep in contact with JB. Upon landing in the fifteenth century Chip finds out that he is Edward the Fifth King of England and France and that Alex is his brother Prince Richard.
The kids find themselves in a room where Chip and Alex see ghostly visions of themselves (called Tracers). They meld with their Tracers and are able to know the thoughts of the boys. The problem is that the longer they stay in their tracer body the harder it is for them to come back to their 21st century selves.
While in their Tracer bodies they learn that their uncle plans to kill them and become king himself. With the help of the Elucidator they become invisible so that they can go about more and find out what happened in that time of history.
In order to keep the kids from ruining history JB manages to bring Jonah and Katherine back so that he can coach them how to bring Chip and Alex back to the 21st century lacking ruining history.
I have to admit that I had a hard time following Sent. With all of the twisted time travel information and the history and the tracers I just got completely confused. It truly was hard for me to even end the book, but I finished it because I despise to give up on a book. The ending does place off for another book in this series. I am not sure that it is one that I will pick up again. For persons people that like a Science fiction/history/Adventure tale this may be right up your alley.

This book adds a lot of suspense to the series. It follows the tale , of the boys in the Tower of London, with an added twist that changes the whole direction of the tale. It leaves you wondering: what will Jonah and Meg do? Will they be able to save Chip and Alex?

this book is filled with drama and mystery! it is frightening and fills your imagination with marvel! as i was reading i felt frightened for litte Jonah and his sister and friend as they faced and conquered multiple challeges with bravery! as a respectable, law abiding person i thought that the sneaking around and the lies that were told through out the course of the tale were not ideal and not a excellent example for youth to be seeing! but overall it was a charming book for adventuresome tykes between the ages of 9 and 12! not for persons who dont like thrills and mystery though!

I was bored so I selected up several books and read the first couple of pages. I was bored with the first 2-3 that I selected up. When I got Establish I was nearly about to give up looking for a book. I started reading it and could NOT stop reading it! I went home and read it a few hours and was done with it the next day. I went to Amazon and ordered SENT again, I was so hooked! I couldn’t place the book down. I had to find out what was going to take place. I was never bored reading any of it. Haddix is an incredible writer. I had not read any of her books, but now I’m going to order the rest of her books. I’ve been telling everyone I know about he book, trying to get them to read it.

This book is fantastic! I read the first one a year ago and waited for the second to come to the library but I could not wait any longer so I bought it today.

I finished it in about three hours
This series is past and Sci-Fi all in one. The science fiction is relativly factual. Though we know small about time travel the all-purpose concept of how each pebble out of place could affect the future is a common factor. The past factors are also very much accurate.
I loved this book more than the first one because the first book clarified the concept of the series more. This one was more into the all-purpose plot which it appears to be how the next book will probably go, but in a diffrent time period.
This book is in the independent reader section of limits and I am most certainly a young adult/adult reader but this book was excellent and I loved its concepts. It makes you reflect. I feel it should probably be in young adult because the concepts where hard to grasp at first though the vocabulary was not hard.
If you like Sci-Fi you will delight in this series. If you like past fiction I recommend you suffer through the more Sci-fi first book to reach the past aspects of the second and probably third…
Have fun reading!
PS Really worth it to just buy the hardback copy rather than wait
