This book has a lot of very excellent material on enthusiasm and goal-setting and attitude. I highly recommend it for that. But, Zig gets a small preachy when he starts telling us we should spank children to discipline them, as well as his religious views. The final chapter is basically just thrown in to tell you his views. The main problem I have with the book is how Zig refers to homosexuality as a “terrible habit” and how he equates “homosexual” literature with pornography. If you can overlook his homophobia, you will probably delight in the book and get a lot out of it.

I read this book many years ago when I was in college and I wasnted re-read this version because it’s been updated. I wish Hill’s “Reflect And Grow Rich” and Carnegie’s “How To Win Friends…” would do the same. They are better books than Zig’s. Don’t get me incorrect “See You At The Top” is excellent. But it seems more gimicky agreed overuse of cutesy ryhmes. “Stinkin’ Thinkin’”, etc.
I didn’t give it 5 stars because I feel he relies to much on telling additional people’s tales, as a replacement for of giving direct feedback and suggestions as to how to improve your life. The tales are nice but they are a lot of “filler”.
Also he uses way too many “Jesus” anaolgies. A motivational book doesn’t have to be so all ears on Western Christianity. I’m not asking Zig to suppress his beliefs but he could have tried to be a small more understanding of the millions of readers who are not bible thumpers. There are many times in his book when he could have used a term like “Privileged Power” as a replacement for of Jesus or even used examples from additional world religions…since his book is in print in so many different languages.
If preachy or overly-religous tale-telling is not your bag then skip this one and get one of the additional books I mentioned above. Otherwise, this is a nice read.

I bought the book about a month ago and have not received it yet. At this point, i have contacted the seller and they are resending a new copy. It was probably lost in the mail, but i bought a number of books that day and received them all except this one. The supplier did promptly answer to my emails and to my knowledge are correcting this situation and giving me a discount on my next buy for my troubles.

Zig Ziglar never disappoints. Permanently included are actual constructive ways of getting what you want when you want it. He tells you what to do, how to reflect, meditate, etc. I recommend reading his books at least a couple of times, so much info to absorb.
