Although the graphics were awesome I was disappointed with the projects in this book. For a beginner only…I’d like to return my copy.

This book was a major disappointment in every way. I wish I had sent it back. Can I still do that? It has not been used. It is just sitting here in its carton. I bought it for a point project: the pincushion bowl. I had downloaded the pattern from the internet but it had an error in it. The book has exactly the same error. A piece tht winds up 11″ should in reality wind up 15″ so the rest of the pieces fit. So, one has to either change the part of that piece or change the size of the 8 pieces that need to line up with it. I wrote to the publisher and got an unsatisfctory answer back. I have made the object , which is very cute, but I had to fix the directions first. The rest of the book is extremely amateurish. It is written for people who haven’t sewn much at all. Also, the additional patterns in the book are not of interst. Absolutely do not recomend the book.

I specifically wanted this book for one item. But, in a book this size, I would reflect there might be several additional items I could use.

But, I do like the way the book is place together. The leader is very talented.

This recent buy was most disappointing especially since I had held out for a long time on buying this book. The projects were nothing to rave over and none stood out. The only redeeming feature was the pictures of the gorgeous fabrics that were used.
