Product Description
Factually effective from head to toe, the images in this essential guide to glamour photography demonstrate how to flatter models’ assets and downplay any perceived flaws when there is no clothing to hide behind. Detailed instructions on recreating classic poses and a thorough discussion of the three main sections of the bodyupper body, lower body, and backsideare coupled with ample photographic examples. Abundant illustrations reveal how to manipulate a model’s tresses, garner the best possible views of the face, and visually enhance the appearance of the breasts, arms, abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, calves, feet, and toes. Best-practice techniques for maximizing curves and minimizing bulk will make each theme look her personal best. Because of the intimate scenery of nude and semi-nude photo shoots, suggestions for easing into the shoot while staying on task and ensuring a theme’s comfort are also discussed.

Although the concept of the book is excellent, it did not deliver the goods. First, I was discouraged at how thin the book is. I was even more disappointed with the lack of detail. Some of the pages only have one or two fleeting paragraphs of text. To make matters worse, many of the pictures don’t line up with the text. For example, in the chapter on posing the legs, one of the pictures is on head tilt! Even though the book was fleeting on details, it wasted text by duplicating information. At least twice, it told you to shoot from a low position for a heavier model, but all ears on not getting too much nostril. Okay, I get it, you don’t have to repeat yourself. This book looks like a photographer who was attempting to be a writer, but didn’t deliver the goods.

The content of this book is fantastic, but the USEFUL caption text that accompanies each picture (that gives the settings etc…) is embedded in the graphic at such a tiny size that it is unreadable on the Kindle.
Get this one in print, not on the Kindle, if you are the least bit interested in how he sets up shots.

I am a motivated amateur photographer and I really appreciate the way Rolando sets the theme into the world.
There is a plethora of well diagramed examples and pictures of the various subjects he covers. Sure, there must be written commentary but it supports the examples rather than tries to carry the material all by itself.
As I didn’t know the basics of posing, shot design and composition in this genre, this work provides that. From persons very clear examples I have been able to work obliquely and make new work.
Of course the models and pictures are gorgeous and very simple on the eyes.
I highly recommend this work for persons like myself: You don’t know. You know you don’t know. But want to know.

If you have ever been to a Rolando Gomez workshop you will learn that Rolando knows so much about glamour photography that it is hard to grasp but a tiny percentage of what he has to offer. This is the book that should be mandatory reading for anyone attending Rolando’s sessions. It reminds us of things we known and forgotten and puts on paper things we really need to keep in mind when shooting.
I’ll admit .. I read the book. But Rolando’s pictures are enjoyable even on their own. There are lots of shots of the ever favorites Tess and Holly. And gorgeous (and all too rare) shots of the gorgeous Amy Davis and Atlanta model Jessi.
This book is a must have for serious glamour photographers.

Mr. Gomez’s third book focuses on posing, and goes into fantastic detail from head to toe. Like his additional books, it is well-written and simple to read. And it is filled with photos that illustrate the points he makes. The book covers topics such as posing the various body parts, composition, and communication and rapport with the model. I recommend this book for both hobbyists and professionals, for both beginners and veteran photographers.
