I really expected a bit more from a man who’s traveled the world around. But everything he says in here is about how to spend the least amount of money while there. This may be excellent for a single man, but does it make sense for the rest of us? Sorry to say it doesn’t. I appreciate small tips and tricks, but the entire point of this book was how to be cheap. Not sensible with your money, but cheap. It was disappointing to say the least.

The book arrived in excellent condition, but, it took 21 days to travel from New York to Florida. That is unacceptable, and negates any advantage in ordering online. From now on, I will drive to the bookstore, and pay a few more dollars. Although it was at the outside estimate of their shipping (22 days, I judge) I didn’t reflect for a moment it would take that long. Unacceptable shopping experience.

This is a fantastic book for learning travel skills. We are traveling in April to Italy by ourselves and have utilized many of Rick Steve’s tips on preparation the trip on our own.
