After all the high-star reviews, I establish this book to be seriously disappointing. I’m a fan of the genre, but the implausible actions and uneven (and unlikeable) characterizations prevented me from enjoying this. Example: The opening scene, where the main character, terrified and desperately injured and on the run, seeks sanctuary in a place she knows to be hostile — and nearly the first thing she does is a sexy, attention-getting DANCE!? Oh please!
I tried, but I honestly couldn’t even end the book. Not even freebies should be this terrible.

I thought the tale line sounded excellent, and it did, until voyeurism and sodomising ongoing. Yeah, I can deal with vampire sex being different and drinking blood, I don’t want to read all the grave additional stuff. Read with caution if you aren’t in to that.

I was lucky enough to grab this while the book was on offer and since I had never read any erotica before I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get out of my comfort zone. Needless to say I was, very, pleasantly surprised!
I adored the new take on vampiric lore and myth that the leader came up with – I won’t go into too much detail as I don’t want to spoil it. But the twist was believable and held weight. This allowed the tale to progress much further, in my opinion, than any additional vampire tale currently out there.
The characters were well written and relatable even though they were mystical beings; they were not so far-fetched that you couldn’t engage with them. The interactions between the characters captivated my imagination for the duration of the book – I ongoing to care for them, and wanted them to make it in their endeavours – this for me, when I’m reading a book, is a excellent sign!
The plot of the novel did not take a backseat to the like-building as I had expected it too; both were an vital part of the tale – remove the sex and the tale and the tie to the characters would’ve crumbled away. The scenery of the plot was one of my most favourite things about this book; it was not missing in drama and had just the perfect amount of suspense to keep you turning the page.
But I did find that the part of the book was a small shorter than I expected (hence the 4 stars) – I wanted it to go on and on. But I judge this has been done due to the sequel, which I recently establish out about – much to my joy!
The Kindle version, I establish, was simple to navigate and was edited in a professional manner.

I read a lot of paranormal romance (Kenyon, Showalter, Singh, Cole, Ward, etc.) and this book was much more explicit which really overpowered the plot. I didn’t judge Regina and Zander were in like at all. And about 3/4 through the book, I am putting it down (read: erasing it from my Kindle). I guess it was worth the cheap thrills…since it was free. But it was a bit more kinky and “delved” into places that I am not as comfortable with.

This was an exceptional example of this leader’s writing. The first book I read by this leader, Wicked Sexy: Wicked, Book 1, was also fantastic.
If you like vampire and werewolves then I recommend this book…
If you like hot, intense, sex scenes (with varying partners and positions) then I recommend this book…
If you like exotic simple reads…that are well written…then I recommend this book.
