Primate Behavioral Ecology
Where to buy Primate Behavioral Ecology books online?
Product Description
Primate Behavioral Ecology is an introduction to the meadow and its applications to primate conservation. Like no additional text on the market, this comprehensive text integrates the basics of evolutionary and ecological approaches to the study of primate behavior with up-to-date coverage of how different primates behave. Examples are drawn from the “classic” primate meadow studies and more recent studies on previously neglected species illustrating the vast behavioral variation that we now know exists and the gaps in our knowledge that future studies will fill. This text meets the tremendous need for a textbook that integrates contemporary behavioral ecology, evolutionary theory, and conservation concerns as they pertain to primates.

There was a small wear and tear and some hi-lighting, but the condition was as described. I was pleased with this buy.

Book is fantastic, thought provoking, and is a must-read for how the variables of resources, environment, and gender differences impact behavior. I am taking the Leader’s course, but, at UW-Madison, so my inherent bias must be stated.

A excellent survey text of primate social ecology. Strier’s work among new world primates makes this book better than most which are too heavily biased towards macaque and chimp studies.
