She doesn’t see dead people, but…
She senses when a name near her is about to die. And when that happens, a force beyond her control compels her to scream bloody murder. Factually.
Kaylee just wants to delight in having caught the attention of the hottest guy in school. But a normal date is hard to come by when Nash seems to know more about her need to scream than she does. And when classmates start dropping dead for no apparent reason, only Kaylee knows who’ll be next…

I really wanted to like this book, but it was just too…slow and unfinished.
The book drags on and on and then: stuff happens, stuff happens, The End. If the leader could get it together and balance the book, and make the ending conclusive, I would happily give her books another try. I even tried reading the next book in the series hoping she had gotten the “dull, dull, slow, crappy ending” out of her system but to no aim.
The main character, Kaylee, blithely saves her friend knowing an innocent bystander will die as a consequence but firmly insists she would do it again, very altruistic. Her like interest is a womanizer. That’s right, teach the teenage girls that the man-ho will behave just for you (and apprently has a heart of gold). The book is slow, until the end where it picks up suddenly and then ends, with a death and not much resolved.
So: NO, Twilight fans will NOT like this book. The concept is fantastic but the book fails to impress. A very unsatisfying book all in all.

This is an incredible book.I loved it. It is an incredible sequel to my soul to lose. I would definently recommend it.

I have to say I loved this book very much. I like these characters, human and paranormal. And it’s nice to see not just a new take, but a new take on something new, if that makes any sense. I will say that some parts were better than others, but that’s pretty much permanently the case, and I have a feeling further books in the series will smooth persons out even more.

Although this book was written for teens, its concept is fascinating and the writing style is excellent enough to hold the attention of readers of any age.
It’s the first in a series. I got it as a free go, and it didn’t take long for me to choose that I’d like to buy the others in the series as soon as they come out.

If you’re a fan of the Twilight Saga and have read the books over and over again until the covers are coming apart as my daughter has done, you can cool your cravings a bit with this light read from Harlequin Teen. It has a similar romantic storyline and some paranormal themes but no vampires or were wolves. There are no terribly steamy scenes or anything else that I establish to be objectionable about the book but the theme is proposed more for probably age 14 and up.
