Product Description
Far more than one obsessed travel writer’s take on Walt Disney World, Mousejunkies! is a collection of amusing travelogues and savvy insider’s tips gleaned from a group of seemingly rational adults who find themselves inexplicably drawn to the Magic Kingdom. It covers all the essential topics — when to go, where to say, what to do, and where to eat — as well as experiences not establish in additional guides. Readers learn how to indulge in an all-day beer and football orgy at the resort, how to extract the family tree from Fantasmic with sanity intact, where to catch a mid-afternoon catnap, and how a Disney cruise can go very, very incorrect. Packed with useful information, from touring plans to restroom reviews, these amusing, affectionate personal accounts paint a plain portrait of a creatively engineered world where unexpected surprises make lasting memories.

This book brought back all the fun and feelings our family tree has veteran on our trips to Walt Disney World and just as I am sad at the end of our visits I was sad when the book finished. I hope Mr. Burke is already effective on “Mousejunkies 2!”

This book contains very small practical information for a family tree taking a trip to Walt Disney World. Parts of it may be amusing but it is definately not an informative travel guide. If you are going to Walt Disney World and are looking for information to help plot your trip, pick a different book. If you have been to Walt Disney World several times and have some extra money that you want to spend on reading additional peoples’ trip tales then this would be the book for you. I might have agreed this book more than one star if it were not for the misleading title.

The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World is Way more informative. Skip this book and get that one.

I was disappointed to find very small practical information on really taking a trip to Walt Disney World. This book is a lot of anecdotes strung together with a few facts–certainly not an informative travel guide. Although its publisher specializes in personal travel tales, it also produces more structured guides; so I thought, based on this item’s title, that this would be of such a scenery. It is not. There are so few guide-style facts in this book that I can only remember two: the telephone numbers for WDW dining and central reservations. The title is misleading, because most of the so-called tips are either well-known facts that any travel agent or Disney Travel rep could tell you, or beside the point–such as waxing poetic about the in-house TV channel host. There is nothing here to convince me that I could travel to WDW and use this book to make my trip perfect.

Having been to WDW ny times, I was looking for a new outlook. It gave their reviews and I thought they were excellent but very one sided and not very family tree oriented. I am a grandmother but have tasken my own children many times and now my grandchildren 3 times We do go todifferent restaurants each trip and have stayed in many of tjhe resorts. What I got from the book…they like the Boardwalk and they like to drink and they do not like Figment and Imagination.Better to spend your money on Passporeter, Unofficial Guide or Birnbahm
