I’ve never heard of this leader, but I bought the book anyway, which was my mistake. I did not find one new thing in the entire book. I’ve read it all before. I’ve read the same thoughts in additional books and magazines many, many times over the years. There is nothing original in this book, so I am really disappointed.

The thought for this book is excellent but the book was terribly done. Unexpected style is something that intrigues me, but that’s not what this book really is. The book is pretty dated in the way it is done because it’s all about one unknown designer’s “take” on decorating. No one today wants to be dictated to or to just copy what another person has done. So this book misses the mark by several miles. If you want a decorating book that helps you make your own style, this is not it. Don’t buy this. It seems more like a book about this designer’s own ego.

If you want decorating thoughts, do not buy this book. If you want to see a puff piece about the leader and too many pictures of her, then this is for you. I have not heard of this leader, and I don’t care to know anything about her. I just want a excellent decorating book. This is the kind of vanity book that authors should have to pay to publish (and then give to their friends for free). No attempt should be made to sell this piecie of trash to patrons like me who are are on the lookout for cool decorating thoughts.
