Not sure what happened, but this item was never received, but, a Star Trek DVD set was delivered. I refused it and sent it back. I sent an email 12/4/09 detailing what had transpired and that the item had been returned. I have not received any response do date regarding this issue. I am writing this review in hopes that there is some type of response, but, I have small hope or faith that this will take place. Additionally, the statement I received from the credit card used to pay for the children’s glossary listed a charge for the glossary. I had to send another detailed account to the credit card company along with documentation disputing the charge. I am waiting for my next statement to see if the charge has been removed. Perhaps I don’t know exactly how your service works, but it seems that when there is an error or help is needed, there should be a method or procedure that guarantees the buyer some results.

Christian parents should know that this glossary has only a generic, tiny case listing for “god” while listing “Allah” as a point entity. I don’t have a problem with “Allah” being listed that way, but I judge that “God” should also be recognizable with a point, capital-letter listing. Most additional dictionaries, Scholastic for example, do it that way (i.e. “God” is the god of Christians and Jews.) I also noticed in some of DK’s science books that evolution is stated as a fact, while some additional books, like Osburne, state that “most scientists agree… [about the thought of evolution].”

We just got the book and my daughter seems to take after it.
My only additional comment is that the shipping is NOT free on this book. I am a Amazon Prime customer (we get FREE 2 day shipping), and so automatically selected 2 day. I got charged $9.xx! So be careful and check the shipping cost on this first!
