Product Description
For seven books, Clive Cussler has dazzled readers with the “spine-tingling adventures” (Chicago Tribune) of Kurt Austin, Joe Zavala, and the rest of the NUMA(r) Special Assignments Team, but in Medusa the NUMA(r) team faces what may be its most perilous mission of all.
In the Micronesian Islands, a top secret, U.S. government- sponsored undersea lab conducting vital biomedical research on a rare jellyfish known as the Blue Medusa suddenly . . . disappears. At the same time, off Bermuda, a bathysphere is attacked by an underwater vehicle and left helpless a half mile not more than the surface, its passengers-including Zavala-left to die. Only Kurt Austin’s heroic measures save them from a watery grave, but, suspecting a tie, Austin puts the NUMA(r) team on the case. He has no thought what he’s just gotten them all into. A hideous series of medical experiments . . . an extraordinarily ambitious Chinese criminal organization . . . a secret new virus that threatens to set off a worldwide endemic. Austin and Zavala have been in forceful spots before, but this time it’s not just their own skins they’re trying to save-it’s the lives of millions.
Filled with the high-stakes suspense and infinite invention unique to Cussler, Medusa is the most thrilling novel yet from the grand master of adventure.

Sorry if these are annoying, but they are supposed to be. Having spent close to 400 dollars for the Kindle, with the promise of 9.99 books or less, these new fee points are ridiculous. Don’t buy until 9.99.

Just too much money for a digital book. I like Cussler but will buy the hard take in when it’s in the 50% off bin

I’m probably up to 150-175 books or so on my Kindle. Have both v1 and v2. While I can’t say anyone promised me that the books were permanently going to be 9.99, I don’t like it one bit that Amazon questions me to pay the same fee for a Kindle book that I would pay at Barnes and Noble.
Frankly, I’ll wait. Then I’ll pick up this title at Barnes & Noble in six or eight months for a buck fifty in the ancient book bin.

I have to agree wityh the others that a name is getting greedy. I was taken in by the additional Cussler book that was over priced when I pre-ordered it and I was not pleased when I saw the fee of it. Yes I should have noticed the fee but I was used to the 9.99 fee by then. I also will not buy this book on kindle at that fee. As a matter of fact I judge I will buy it from my local book store as a replacement for. I hope a name gets the message.

I come on to Amazon today to read what additional reviewers have to say about Clive Cussler’s new book and all I see are comments regarding pricing of the Kindle version AGAIN. I am finding this more and more and it is absolutely driving me insane. People get a grip and review the CONTENT of the book. Use some common sense and be considerate of others who come here to read an actual review of the tale. If the fee of something is not to your liking, don’t buy the item!
