Metal bottle caps can frame tiny black-and-white pictures for novel thumbtacks or magnets. Clear resin is poured into the caps to seal the photos and give them an appealing glossy end. Twist-off caps are better than conventional ones because they don’t bend when they’re removed. For appropriately tiny images, try cutting details from large photos. Or, if your software has a contact sheet mode, use it to lower pictures drastically.
Project Supplies
- ink jet paper
- 1-inch (2.5cm) circular craft punch
- white craft glue
- metal twist-off bottle caps
- clear casting resin
- bonding cement
- tiny magnets or thumbtacks
How-To
Using the craft punch, cut out pictures. Using white craft glue, attach 1 picture to the inside of each bottle cap. Let it dry. Take in a work surface to protect it from spills, and lay caps on top of it. Following manufacturer’s instructions for clear casting resin, fill each bottle cap to the rim. Let them dry overnight. Using bonding cement, attach magnets or thumbtacks to the backs of the bottle caps. Let them dry overnight before using.

The sellers place a picture of this product up like it is the hard take in book. I was sent a black and white hackneyed soft bound book. I couldn’t read it all the pages were all smeared together. This product was $1 cheaper than the additional REAL books. Pay the extra buck and really get what you reflect you are getting. I thought the way they sold their product was very misleading.

I was very disapointed with this book. I was expecting more variety, but it had very small useful crafts for the ‘average’ person, in my opinion. I delight in Martha Stewart, but felt she could have expanded further in this book.

I like the crafts and design meadow, but economy drives me to try it with my own hands!!! Economy is a year round thing, yet the holidays is a must to get into the grit and grime of examination and error until satisfied then showing the things made to see if they pass. Then it’s to building in multiples. I like to give just to see their expressions. There are the elderly that may not get a gift. To the bring shame on of Americanism who are going to be humbled into building something. If I was the receiver, I would be momentously touched. (So much for the political statement!) I am interested in the Martha Touch, but lacking some kind of holiday fevered-brow touches in the ornament section I can use the books I have for now
because it’s the holidays that really merit the use of crafts for my six children, spouse, 1 pet, and home!!! Please Martha place the “holiday sentiments” as top priority!
