If I could give it zero stars I would. Horrible book. No substance. Nothing of interest. A perfect waste.

I am giving this book a tentative 4-star rating because I really wish I had gotten this book as a replacement for of some additional terrible book that came better rated than this one. Even though I have yet to read it (I am now going to buy it in-store), by visiting Marie’s free supplemental website I can really see how her tips and methods can work… her theory of telling one’s-self, for example that “this is it” and “this is what I want” in life, at every challenging situation or mind-numbing social event, I have already learned to make the best of whatever situation I am in, straight away building myself more relaxed, positive, outgoing and most importantly potentially charming (and dare I say irresistable) to the opposite sex.
If you are skeptical like I am to spend money on a product like this that might not work, might place you discouraged or waste your time with tips you could come up with yourself, visit her website and see for yourself rather than taking these comments at face-value. Also know but that some of her tips are “common knowledge” meaning, you can probably find versions of her advice on additional websites or wikis. Like every self-help thingy, you have to take the leader’s advice with a grain of salt; no book is going to be a “cure-all”, nor will a title (especially as provocative as Marie’s) really, truly be the most appropriate category for the material inside (even Marie admits in the preface that she used the title just to catch your attention). With Marie’s book and a small bit of practice (!) I really reflect I can make some improvements to my social life!

I just returned this book because I despised it. Ugh, what a series of cheesy, pretentious remarks! Couldn’t stand from the beginning ‘cos it’s so dull, but esp. when I got to the point where the leader started talking about some psychological issues, e.g. childhood abuses, etc., as if it’s nothing. For a name like this leader, who were lucky enough to have no such experience, it may seem like a lame excuse. I’d say it’s absolutely insensitive, better shut up if you don’t know much about it. If you find this book helpful or encouraging, I guess you weren’t that terrible to start with, then better off reading much worth-reading books than wasting your time with this superficial self-promotional success tale book.

I like this book. It is a must read for every female. The best advice book yet.

I’ve grown tired of books that promise to tell you something new, something even appealing, but then only deliver what is already known and obvious to anyone who has agreed the theme enough prudence to have come to a choice they want to know more. The title promise reasonably a lot! I guess that should have been my first warning, but I just thought it was trying to be cute and clever. But inside, this book states nothing but the obvious. There is simply no meat to it, nothing here to chew on, nothing to reflect about, nothing to practice, nothing… unless perhaps you’ve been living in a cave.
