The title of the book says it all. Not only does does Lulu make entertaining EASY, but the recipes are SIMPLE to follow, STYLISH in presentation but above all absolutely tasty. The steak marinade will become my go-to marinade. I made it Saturday night to rave reviews. We entertain reasonably frequently and the book provides some fantastic thoughts. I especially like the “Cheat Sheet” in the back. She makes you reflect of things before the party and not during it. A MUST for anyone who entertains or is ready to start entertaining. I will be giving this book as housewarming presents, for nuptial showers and hostess gifts for years to come. It is permanently excellent to have a signature gift and I have just establish mine.

After throwing a successful get together this afternoon, I just had to write a review! I hosted my book club for lunch and made the Mini Wild Mushroom Risotto Cakes, Spinach & Asiago Cheese Sandwiches (kind of like mini grilled cheeses -I added prosciutto to mine) and the Grilled Citrus Chicken and Brown Rice Salad and I couldn’t judge how much my hard-to-impress girlfriends just raved about the food -everything was so flavorful and yummy and was beyond simple to make. I bought the book after seeing Lulu on the Today show and I’m so pleased that I did -she has lots of fantastic thoughts that are so simple to do but your guests will reflect you were slaving away all day. Her style is really approachable and I really like that she encourages you to use what you have and make every recipe your own -it’s not about being perfect like Martha, it’s about being able to have memorable moments with your guests. Lulu has lots of tales about her family tree and friends in the book and reading it makes you feel like she’s one of your girlfriends letting you in on the secrets of being an brilliant host. The book is full of perfectly styled photographs and many clever tips -I like her suggestion of building your own specialty ice cubes with fresh fruit and herbs on page 79 -something so simple makes even basic sparkling water feel special. I can’t say enough how much I’ve loved this cookbook so far and I just can’t wait to try some of the additional recipes! This is certainly going to be my go-to gift for Mother’s Day, birthdays and engagements. Buy this book, you won’t be disappointed!!

This perfectly photographed entertainment book is my new go to guide for parties. Lulu’s thoughts for entertaining are tops. From tiny get togethers to larger celebrations this book contains everything you will ever need to wow your guests. Lulu’s approach is simple yet elegant. We entertain a lot and I’ll be using Lulu’s thoughts for many of our future parties building everything perfect lacking while enjoying ourselves too.

First of all, the pictures and small side notes to this cookbook are incredible! I can easily get an thought of what each recipe is like with a picture that captures the eye and a unique food pallet! i like to host parties but when i do i get stressed and dont know what to do. WHen i looked through lulu’s cook book i establish the checklist in back of her book. It was such a relief that i no longer had to worry if i was missing anything during a party. i am so excited to have my next party so i can use some of lulu’s recipes and party thoughts. This cook book is a must for everyone. Cooks or not cooks. GO AND BUY THIS NOW!!!!!

Fabulous book for the “every-once-in-a-while’ cook and entertainer. Never read (yes I mean READ from take in to take in) a book that made me want to throw a party straight away! Every tip,every recipe, every memorable tale about Lulu and her wonderful,entertaining and loving family tree made this an actual page turner—something I have never veteran with a cook book. I keep opening it up and preparation my next tiny social, the next huge family tree gathering, the next birthday party. I have already ordered copies for all the cooks in my family tree and plot to order more as gifts for my friends and business colleagues!!
