Once again the perfect example of if Women would be more needy then men would like us more.
I bought this book for a 14 hour plane trip. It was one of the few things that caught my eye in the airport store. I finally chose that I would rather read the vomit bag. That was at least useful.
I just sat there thinking, It is not incorrect for me to be financially independent from my spouse. That is not disrespectful to him. If he takes it that way, then his ego is the problem. Not anything that I have done.
I need/want my spouse because we are equals.
What happened to thinking that we were grown-ups and that we could treat each additional that way? I have no use for these mind games.
Yes like & respect each additional. But don’t force it. Don’t change who you are.
God gave both men & women brains to avoid this type of right wing preaching.

I’m a christian who has read many books on relationships but this book has to the worst. No matter what the situation is in a relationship, one must set aside their own self-respect. I felt as though all will be well if she respects her man is crazy. I felt like he was adage “just keep lovin’your man and all will be fine. Like must be strong and tough. Know that I judge in the biblical concept of submission, but there is a difference between being a confident mentally submissive woment and a rug for a name to walk all over.

I am a retired Christian Child psychiatrist who has done marriage therapy all my life. This book is like a breath of fresh air in the meadow that has traditional brow beat husbands for not “loving” their wives and have nearly really ommited a balanced view that the Bible teaches. We have forgotten that wives are to submit and RESPECT their husbands.
I am so relieved that we now have a book that I can recommend to any couple that are having difficuty in their marriage. I know they will find answers if they will go back to the foundation of their relationship. This book will help them to rebuild a levelheaded lasting relationship.
