A classic adventure book in the spirit of The Treasure of the Sierra Madre and Heart of Darkness. Four travelers meet in Bolivia and set off into the heart of the Amazon rainforest, but what starts as a dream adventure quickly deteriorates into a treacherous nightmare, and after weeks of wandering in the dense undergrowth, the four backpackers split up into two groups. But when a terrible rafting manufacturing accident separates him from his partner, Yossi is forced to survive for weeks alone against one of the wildest backdrops on the planet. Stranded lacking a knife, map, or survival training, he must improvise shelter and forage for wild fruit to survive. As his feet start to rot during raging storms, as he loses all sense of direction, and as he starts to lose all hope, he wonders whether he will make it out of the jungle alive.
Lost in the Jungle is the tale of friendship and the teachings of scenery, and a terrifying right account that you won’t be able to place down. .

Yossi adventure was a excellent read, had a hard time putting it down. It was a bit exasperating at times – in that they made mistake which resulted in their hardships. Glad I missed that adventure. Yossi… take a Winchester with you next time!

This is the right tale from one of the survivors of this ill fated adventure.
You may have seen this on “I shouldn’t have survived” or its “science of Survival” sequel (both here on Amazon I judge)
I couldn’t place it down, very small got done around me till it was finished.
This would be brilliant for a very long plane flight, say half way around the world.
Want to say something else but don’t want to give it away.
International best seller for excellent reason.
Thank you Yossi, Man of Action.

I survive nearly exclusively on a voracious reading diet of nonfiction adventure. But I am also a picky eater — bailing on nearly 25% of all books when they don’t hold my interest. Lost in the Jungle was a fine meal! A fantastic balance of devious human drama and edge-of-your-seat intensity. Right up my alley.
