As I haven’t even received this product it is hard to review. I ordered this book on 11/27/07 and it was due for manner of language on 12/24/07. It was not delivered. My contact with Amazon since then has been an appalling experience with mistake after mistake. Mistakes were made on the original manner of language. I was then told that a part shipment had been made ( 3 books in total). Mistakes were made on costs and on refunds and I also have 2/3 different manner of language dates. In fact they made mistakes on just about everything and I will never use Amazon again

The book diverges all over the map to provide filler for the tale. The last couple chapters are all that is worth reading. The book is not worth its salt.

The weapon he was carrying was a Mark 12, not an M4 you uninformed, inconsiderate prick. Look it up you nitwit. I’d like to know exactly what you were doing for our country when Mr. Luttrell and company were out in persons mountains. Have a fantastic day.

If you are a professional looking for tactical tips that will keep you alive in Afghanistan, avoid this one. So a 4 man recon is compromised and over run by vastly superior numbers of terrible guys. Question Vietnam Lurps and SOG team guys how many times that happened in the ancient days lacking the media ever noticing.
The only lesson to be learned from this book is something pros will read between the lines and it’s won’t be a excellent thought to share it with the rest of the world.

They drop poor soldiers into an obtuse confrontation and the purpose of the “mission” now becomes survival, most of them are too modestly educated to question why they may be there. I thought the elite forces would be able to discriminate between Washington BS and truth. It appears that now, the Seals are just geeked up grunts on Corporate Imperialistic Steroids. What I establish in this book is the predictable phoney religious patriotic screed of kill whatever Bush tells you too and don’t question it. Who is the enemy sir? Wait, i’ll tell you in a minute,,,Oh they were are friends yesterday before they sold their Carlye group stocks, now they are the enemy threatening our way of life… KILL THEM! This guy truly needs to watch the movie “Shooter” to see how the Banking Military Complex throws soldiers away in conflicts that only benefit the people THAT ARE SENDING OUR JOBS TO INDIA AND CHINA.
