Amazon deleted my previous review so I’m submitting it again. Gave product 1 star since I can’t get it on kindle. VERY disappointed with the publisher’s choice to delay the kindle relief. And yes, submitting a terrible review because the publisher won’t relief the kindle version is a valid review. People submit terrible reviews for additional publishing actions like terrible editing or poor indexing. I wouldn’t submit this review on the B&N site, but Amazon, you SELL AND MARKET THE HELL OUT OF THE KINDLE, SO DON’T DELETE MY REVIEW!!!!!

I really like Lora Leigh, but since this book is neither on Kindle nor really the recipient of very excellent reviews, I don’t know if I’ll try it. Coyote’s Mate was my favorite, but the one about the Bengal wasn’t all that fantastic. There seems to be a not so fantastic trend in this series right now. I’ve read a bit of this paperback at Target, and the ending seems a bit frenetic, but I reflect I’ll buy it just to make sure I’m not missing out on anything really awesome.

With athletes who are no longer at the top of their game and refuse to give up the ghost…so goes Ms Leigh, who indeed, should place down her pen. More of the same is right, only worse. How she could do this to Jonas who, although not the main character in additional breed books, was still described as a supreme alpha male, the master manipulator, ruthless to a fault. What she’s done to this character is nothing less than criminal and so beyond my comprehension. And for heaven’s sake, a name that strong-willed, that unemotional deserves a mate who is his equal, not this character. She is just as terrible, if not worse, then Coyote Del Rey’s mate, whiny and second guessing…it was enough to just say “enough already, I get it; you don’t want to mate with him; go the hell on”. Jonas would have been better suited with the sister, Diana. At least she is kick-ass, which would have provided far better material. Then we could witness and be privy to the black ops, the covert actions of the place which Jonas is in CHARGE. I simply refuse to chat about my disappointment with the editing. Alas, it is finally time to give up on Ms. Leigh and the breed series. I’ll re-read prior breed tales, Mercury, Kiowa, Dash, Callan, even Seth and Kane…and they aren’t breeds, but their tales were a hell of a lot more appealing to read than Jonas’. I could care less whose tale is next because if she couldn’t get Jonas even half-way right, then there simply is no hope for the rest of them.

As in a previous review, the editing just flat sucked! If you can get past all persons ( and there are MANY ), Jonas falls and falls hard. He is much more uncomplaining than some of the additional males in previous books. And, the scenes with Amber are so touching. I’m hoping Ms. Leigh is listening and cares enough to do something about her editing problems.
The publisher agreed up for lost the ebook relief and that is just a pile of ….! Guess they want everyone to go out and buy a paperback copy as a replacement for of purchasing the ebook. If it continue’s to take place, I’ll be contacting the publisher and Ms. Leigh.

It was wonderful to finally get a perfect picture of Jonas. Ms. Leigh certainly selected out the right mate for him. Rachel, she is strong, intelligent and no pushover. In additional words my kind of gal. Her and the newborn daughter she has shows Jonas’s softer side. But, make no mistake Jonas is still hell on wheels. He will do whatever it takes to protect the breeds, a right Alpha male.
