Conservative talk radio’s fastest-growing superstar is also a New York Times bestselling phenomenon: the leader of the groundbreaking critique of the Supreme Court, Men in Black, and the deeply personal dog lover’s memoir Rescuing Sprite, Mark R. Levin now delivers the book that characterizes both his devotion to his more than 5 million listeners and his like of our country and the legacy of our Founding Fathers: Liberty and Tyranny is Mark R. Levin’s clarion call to conservative America, a new manifesto for the conservative movement for the 21st century.
In the face of the modern liberal assault on Constitution-based values, an attack that has steadily snowballed since President Roosevelt’s New Deal of the 1930s and resulted in a federal government that is a massive, unaccountable conglomerate, the time for re-enforcing the intellectual and practical case for conservatism is now. Conservative beliefs in individual freedoms do in the end stand for liberty for all Americans, while liberal dictates lead to the breakdown of civilized society — in fleeting, tyranny. Looking back to look to the future, Levin writes “conservatism is the antidote to tyranny precisely because its principles are our founding principles.” And in a series of powerful essays, Levin lays out how conservatives can counter the liberal wear that has filtered into every timely issue distressing our daily lives, from the economy to health care, global warming, immigration, and more — and illustrates how change, as seen through the conservative lens, is permanently prudent, and permanently an enhancement to individual freedom.
As provocative, well-reasoned, robust, and informed as his on-air commentary, Levin’s narrative will stimulate readers to start a new era in conservative thinking and action. Liberty and Tyranny provides a philosophical, past, and practical framework for revitalizing the conservative vision and ensuring the preservation of American society.

I ongoing to read this to get perspective and it was just more of the same Subjective “ranting.”
The leader seems to forget what the Founding Fathers place into the preamble of the Constitution…
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, set up Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the all-purpose Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and set up this Constitution for the United States of America.

This guy is like so many additional conservatives- he has no concept about what liberty truly is. Rush etal would like us all to judge that liberals don’t value liberty but conservatives do, which is not right. This is really nothing more than a political tirade much like “Christian” literature, something written to appeal to the people already in the fold.

Enriching oneself by further deluding hard-effective Americans is
not the recipe for success we need at this moment. We cannot turn back the clock to
a “simpler time,” no matter what these constitutional profiteers try to sell us.

Mr. Levin’s long-winded diatribe is just another shrill manifesto written by a garden-variety, far-right-wing idealogue. His laughably and factually incorrect interpretation of American history, with all the requisite reaching for the “founding fathers” and “original intent,” is just another hackneyed presentation of far right past revisionism. Types like Mr. Levin with their now roundly discredited and worn out extremist philosophies, consistently and conveniently snub the real basis of our democracy: that our Founding Fathers crafted an organic constitution that has been capable of changing with the times while preserving liberty. This characteristic of our constitution originates in the English common law from which it was derived, which itself is rooted in notions of COMMON SENSE and FAIRNESS. These two vital fundamentals are missing from the thoughts and thoughts of people like Levin and Limbaugh, for whom ideology is everything, and from whom common sense fled long, long ago.
