It’s a fantastic book, any one that is thinking about carrying a gun or already does should read.

I’m about half way through this book and very impressed. Not impressed by fantastic writing by Shakespeare or Steinbeck, but common sense answers to questions that carriers face. When do I carry? What do I do if…? The tales that they use as examples are fantastic and the following chapter going over the lesson of the tale is even more valuable. This book provides answers for many of your carrying/defense questions.
Not only will it be a book to read once, but once a year as a refresher on why you carry and how you should defend yourself. Once I end it the book will be passed on to family tree and eventually friends, even persons who may be against carrying as a defense for my choice to carry and maybe an eye-opener to them. I highly recommend this book.

I just finished my first reading of the book and have begun the second.
I have been reading and recommending Ms. Jackson’s writings on her website , The Cornered Cat, for a while now and expected a excellent read, but she has truly outdone herself here. This is possibly the best book on the defensive mindset that I have seen.
I recommend this book to anyone who owns a firearm, is thinking about owning a firearm or even who wonders why a reasonable person would wish to carry a handgun.

This book is a MUST READ for EVERYONE who has a concealed weapons permit or is thinking of getting one. The lessons learned from others experiences are priceless and just may save a life…and it could be yours!

Well written, informative book that will solidify your CCW or convince you to start carrying everyday. It will tell you why you should carry, how to be ready in the moment for why you carry and how to be ready for after that moment.
