I wanted to buy a book for my daughter’s birthday. Few of my friends told me that the Disney books are very excellent. Hence I visited Amazon.com. The site gave me excellent array of Disney books to choose from. Looking at the reviews and prices I choose this particular book. Finally when it arrived my daughter was very pleased. The book was in pretty excellent quality and I’m glad that my daughter likes it very much.

This book is fantastic for a princess fan. Six princesses are featured – Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, Ariel, and Belle. Some tales are based on sequels to Disney movies (e.g. Cinderella II) while others are “original.” The book itself is well-made and includes cute stickers. The pages are thick, the table of contents is illustrated so it is simple for pre-readers to select a tale to read. That said, I really don’t like these tales. They are sugar sweet, happily ever after tales with mediocre writing, dull plots and small imagination (they seem similar to each additional). But, as much as I dislike the tales, my daughter enjoys them. On balance, this is a 3 star book – not fantastic, but with sufficient redeeming qualities to make it a worth-while buy.

This is a charming book that I bought as a Hanukkah present for my three year ancient granddaughter. It was on my daughter’s wish list for her small girl. My granddaughter likes princesses and this fit the bill. The book is very sturdy with gilt-edged pages and the illustrations are fanciful. I reflect it is perfect for age 3 and up, but you might have to substitute some simpler vocabulary when reading to a very young child. (a girly book).
