I guess I keep expecting a name to come up with new patterns and remain disappointed. I like the book but again they are just the same patterns everyone else has with different fabrics. The patterns did give me thoughts for my charm paks and layer cakes though.

This is a fantastic small book if you want thoughts on how to place a quilt top together quickly. I made the “Ancient Gold” pattern and I can’t judge how quick it went together, and I didn’t have the layer cake. I cut all my own fabric because I already had it. I bought this book for myself and then bought another one and sent it to my sister out of State to help get her ongoing on a new quilt.

If there is only one quilting book you need to buy, this is the one! As I ongoing browsing from page one, I’m so captivated by the quilting projects, it just blows my mind away! The projects are simple enough for beginners, and also includes projects for more advanced quilters. Nearly every project featured is so gorgeous, I can’t wait to start quilting straight away! I will be building many quilts from this book, no doubt!
