I am preparing for step 3 at the moment and I chose to buy the PR notes ( I am abbreviating just in case I can’t mention the full name). So PR notes I was told is a fantastic source but after spending hundredS of dollars on this home study kit I was greeted with the worst possible layout ever. It’s like a name gave them a ‘bullet point’ machine gun which they went ‘pleased shooting’ with.
The content is excellent but it’s hard to reading with things being this disorganized….which brings me to my review of This book Master the boards.
The info in this book is laid out PERFECTLY and stepwise. If horoscopes are really right then Dr. Fischer must def be a virgo…the book looks like it was written by a perfectionist.
I am a highlight queen and because this book is in color, he pretty much highlighted vital points in colored print. My highlighter has taken a well deserved rest from all that highlighting on the dull PR notes which has numerously nearly sent me in a coma.
Master the boards is VERY appealing, make me want to read more.
Yes I have noticed a few minor errors like on pages 246 and 247 he states RTA type 1 as proximal defect as a replacement for of a distal defect and did the same for type 2 RTA calling it Distal defect, but on the table on page 247 they are categorized correctly so this was somehow a fault during editing and not with his knowledge.
Also on page 251 the table heading should be condition & findings on physical/finding but it states Condition & Tablets. I reflect he was using a all-purpose template of condition and tablets and forgot to change ‘tablets’ to ‘physical findings’.
So far I have only read Renal so persons are the 2 errors I have seen ( in case you’re reading Dr. Fischer).
This book is so fantastic that despite these minor errors I have to rate it 5 star regardless.
A name questioned another positive reviewer if they drank his kool-aid, lol…. well on that note I certainly drank his kool-aid also.
Anyway people, in synopsis…. This book is a must have!!!! I will continue to use the PR notes but I really have to remove a lot of persons misplaced bullets.

This book is one of the most incredible books i ever used !! it acts as your study mate and your USMLE exam partner. So far i judge it is The only book which REALLY shows you how to answer the CCS. it reflects the wonders and the thoughts that might pass in your mind while studying it is fleeting and to the point. i like it sooooooooo much. Dr Conrod fisher proved to be a fantastic teacher and a talented leader as well. I deeply appreciate this fantastic contribution to the medical meadow by his way of teaching in this book.
