This book isn’t the fantastic American novel…but I knew that before purchasing it purely for tv-like entertainment. But, even more predictable than the plot line is the predilection for NYC elite authors, like MHC, to never miss an opportunity to make an evil and duplicitous Republican. I am hoping some day there will be equal opportunity for terrible guys in the pop culture- just as it is in real life today.

Thia is one of the best constructed and technically open mysteries I have ever read. It could be nonfiction, except for the “heart transplant” factor. Literary timing is perfect.

Once Again we can see why Mary Higgins Clark is one of the best mystery writers of all time. And this novel is no exception. The novel starts with Emily Wallace being assigned a most compelling case of Natalie Raines and the suspect Gregg Aldrich who was distraught over his marriage and was stalking her. But is he the only one with a motive? This is a page turner to be for sure. Make it a part of your library.
