The Darkest Fire is a dark and sexy take on a very ancient myth. A monster and a goddess find like while fighting demons from hell. Romantic and gorgeous.
The Amazon’s Curse features Atlantis, Amazon women and vampires. The concept seems in a state, but the execution is flawless. This is a heartwarming tale of learning to like while overcoming the shadows of the past.
The Darkest Prison is the incredible like tale between Nike and Atlas, taking place in a prison. This was my favorite tale in the book. All about fighting against like and finding that they are unable to avoid the passion that has sparked between them.
This book also included a bonus guide with a very amusing interview between Kresley Cole and Gena Showalter and also an interview with the Lords of the Underworld.
All in all, a fantastic set of tales that are an absolute must for any Lords of the Underworld fan.

The book has three fleeting tales and I mean fleeting. But they are completely ancient and out of time and have no relations to the books already written. Further, more than half the book is about her writing process and fake interviews of characters, but even persons interviews have no meat and contain no information.
The fleeting tales and interviews could have been written by a high school student.
It was all filler to make money, IMHO.
I won’t buy from this leader again. Any leader who can abuse readers to this extent has no respect for them.

“The Darkest Fire.” Geryon the slave to the prince of darkness likes Kadance the goddess who guards the underworld with her essence, but knows what the walls crumbling down mean to her life.
“The Amazon’s Curse.” Nola the Amazon has been cursed to remain invisible and unheard by others yet is determined to rescue Zane the vampire.
“The Darkest Prison”. Atlas the Titan god of might has imprisoned Nike the Greek goddess of might and victory who one held him captive.
With two Lords of the Underworld entries and a Tale of Atlantis (“The Amazon’s Curse”), fans of the leader will delight in these three romantic fantasy fleeting novellas although newcomers might find it hard to dive into the Showalter paranormal realm. To to some extent alleviate that there is an additional 160 or so page Underworld Bonus Guide. A must for series fans, Into the Dark is a fabulous anthology.

I know everyone is going to despise me for this review, but I feel this book is a takeoff on JR Ward’s Brotherhood book that details each character and the tale in a similar way. While there is nothing incorrect with this, it was not why I bought the book. I take full blame for not looking at the contents closer. I thought I was purchasing a book of fleeting tales related to the Lords of the Underworld, but I got more (or in my case less) than I bargained for. I am a small place off when an leader treats the characters as real, but I suppose that is what makes for fantastic writing. For persons of you who want to imagine the Lords really exist by all means buy this book, but if you are looking for tales, don’t bother.
