Product Description
Kelly Cutrone has long been mentoring women on how to make it in one of the most competitive industries in the world. She has kicked people out of fashion shows, forced some of reality television’s shiny stars to fire their friends, and built her own company-one of the most powerful PR firms in the fashion business-from the ground up. Through it all, she has refused to be anything but herself. Kelly writes in her trademark, no-bullshit style, combining personal and professional tales to share her secrets for success lacking selling out. Let’s face it: this is a different world than the one in which our mothers grew up, and Kelly has made a real girl’s guide to building it in today’s world. Offering a wake-up call to women everywhere, she challenges us to stop the persistent pursuit of the -perfect life- and learn who we are and what we really want. Then she shows us how to go out there and get it. Much of our culture teaches us to muzzle our inner voice and follow the crowd; Kelly enables us to stop pretending and start truly living. With chapters on how to find your tribe (persons like-minded souls who make your heart sing), how sometimes a breakdown is really a leap forwards, and how there is no such thing as perfection, Kelly also shares practical advice, such as how to make a personal brand and how sometimes you have to fake it to make it. Raw, hilarious, shocking, but permanently the honest truth, If You Have to Weep, Go Outside calls upon you to gather up your courage like an armful of clothes at a McQueen sample sale and follow your soul wherever it takes you. Whether you’re just starting out in the world or looking to reinvent yourself, If You Have to Weep, Go Outside will be the spark you need to figure out what you have to say to the world-and how you’re going to say it.

She is crazy. I would keep book away from teens. She does large amounts of drugs but never says it is a terrible thing to do. She wants you to reflect her life style is glamerous. Terrible role model. Only read half the book it is so dull. Sad she has a show on MTV

How could being this rude, self centered and obnoxious ever work in most people’s lives? Kelly is in a bubble where it is normal to be mean to the people she feels are not more than her.

If you like a dark sense of humor and want a quick read- this is the book for you. I like Kelly and have been following her work for years, this book gives me a much larger appreciation for her and the business. She is a tell it like it is person and that reflects in the book. Fantastic read!

You know that feeling you get when you do something you know is really excellent for you? That is what I got when I ordered this book. I had seen Kelly’s show on Bravo and MTV and one thing that I noticed straight away….while tough, she never lost the sense of compassion so many do as they reach the top. I establish her intriguing.
Kelly offers a candid (which is refreshing from a celebrity) view of her struggles, and how she establish herself. She is tapped into the sort of universal knowledge that is beneficial to people of all ages. Not sure if she meant this book for young girls trying to initially find their way, but this 40 year ancient mom establish this book INVALUABLE. No matter where you are in life, you can easily lose your way…the main lesson of this book is one I wish I’d of learned in my early 20s and that’s to judge in yourself.
I can’t recommend this book enough….it’s fantastic for persons who feel they have their feet firmly on the ground and need a refresher every now and then, persons just starting to find where they are in life, and persons who lose their way.
Thank you for sharing this Kelly.

I really loved reading this book. Kelly is a tough talking, self made women; and in the book she outlines how she stirred to New York with $2000 and no clear path to being the PR power girl that she is today. No this book is not for people who want pretty princess tale. She does talk about being addicted to drugs, and makes no apologies for it. It was a part of her life that she had to go through to get her to where she is today. The book gives you fantastic tips on the struggles of life and finding your right self. It’s amusing straight forwards, sort of like getting tip from your cool aunt. I liked it so much that I’m going to read it again. I whole heartedly recommend this book!
