I ordered the book. I never received the book. They never answered to my e-mails.
Buy your book from a name else.

This book is for people who can’t get to sleep (or who wake up and can’t get back to sleep) because of worry or a racing mind. He uses exercises to re-direct the tales running in your mind and basic relaxation tehniques. Additional reviewers have listed his methods. They are nothing new.
If you have distress relaxing, his CD may be helpful. Otherwise, place on some calming composition and relax, starting with your feet (“I am relaxing my feet, I am relaxing my ankles, I am relaxing my lower legs….”)

I bought this book yesterday, and haven’t done hypnosis before, but I have to say that the man who recorded the CD session (it’s not Paul McKenna, but some guy with an English accent) gave me the creeps like nothing else! And I had nightmares last night! It was especially creepy when the recording is two tracks of him adage things overlapping each additional, so I can’t even tell what’s being said, which concerns me. Lord knows what my mind is being plotted with. Plus I noticed that as soon as the 20 minute CD was finished, my ears felt like they were kind of humming (I was listening to this on my stereo speakers, not through headset). I was also acutely aware of tiny noises I’ve never noticed before when going to sleep – the clock ticking in the bathroom was very clear, and I could hear my cat breathing. It was weird. I did fall asleep soon after but as I said, to a night full of nightmares.
I’m surprised to see no additional reviews in which anyone else establish the CD disconcerting in any way. I won’t be listening to it again.
I’ll give the book a read but I’m not sure how well I trust this guy now.

The leader stated that even reading this book would make the reader sleepy and, indeed, I caught myself nodding off a couple times. The suggestion was the book should be read several times. But, the hypnotic CD came with a warning that persons with certain neurological disorders should not listen, and the hypnotic CD is a major part of the “program.” The usual information about excellent mattresses, no television, comfortable dark sleeping room, and relaxing are all reasonably helpful, at least not harmful, but not exactly new revelations. Let me know how that tapping stuff works out!! The leader’s comments concerning restless legs syndrome seemed uninformed, to me at least. And, his few comments concerning a previous book that walking a bit more would cause weight loss left me baffled. Reading the introduction to “Eat This, Not That” and the “Time” article “The Myth About Exercising” (August 17, 2009) place me in a different frame of mind. Frankly, I am not really interested in being hypnotized by a name who cannot even button his shirt properly. But, I am interested in hearing more from the folks who do hypnotize themselves again and again in search of Morpheus.

P McKenna’s book and CD about how to improve sleep quality is a excellent tool when you need some fresch thoughts on how to sleep better. It is clear, concise and appealing. I establish the CD specially effective.
I like the simplicity of the recepies McKenna provides: I would like something more advanced after this one.
