Distress is ..it takes you seven days to read it, during which time the dog has chewed up your slippers, bitten the postman and vomitted on the carpet.

This book didn’t tell me anything I didn’t know already.

Every once in awhile I buy something online that is a total waste of money and this is one of them. I can’t say I learned one thing from this book (pamphlet) and it is way overpriced.

This book gave me the absolutely WORST dog training advice I have ever gotten! The notion that you should not teach your pup to use pads in the house if you eventually want it to go outside is hideously ill advised! I took this to heart and my puppy now has a special area in the house that no matter how many times I clean and disinfect she comes right back to. I take her outside and she waits to come back in and use her spot. I place down pads and she thinks they are a toy made just for shredding. I now have a dog teacher coming to work with her at $50 an hour to try to help me solve this problem. The leader is right about one thing – it is far simpler to teach excellent habits from the beginning than to break terrible ones. It’s a bring shame on her advice led me to allow my puppy to renovate terrible habits in the first place. Bypass this train wreck and reflect seriously about buying a book on dogs by a name who really seems to know something about the theme… Stanley Coren, perhaps.

Ummm-I reflect the dog just has to want to do the right thing. Excellent thoughts in the book but it didn’t work for us, but we have 7 dogs.
