This book may have been modern and a real guideline when it came out. From a today’s perspective, this is well-known stuff even for junior salesforces.

Ok, let me be honest with you guys. Out of all the tips within this book, maybe only two would be helpful. Considering this book was published in the 80’s, the methods used are mostly outdated (IMHO), it is 2010 now, 30 years later. The leader of the book narrates what he does throughout his selling career which was probably sometime in the 1940’s.
If you’re not selling life insurance, this book would do you small help. I really thought that this book would be fantastic considering all the fantastic reviews it had. But I was incorrect.
Hope this review would help YOU guys, not be mislead by the reviews.

It’s incredible how the basic skills learned from Bettger’s many examples of his own experiences over 50 years ago still translate today. I highly recommend it for anyone just getting into sales or looking for some thoughts to make that light bulb over your head go on. I was really skeptical when a name gave me the book and I saw it was written ages and ages ago, but I remain shocked by how helpful it was.
