Reading this book made me feel worse, not better. I especially took offense to the leader building the aver that “missing sleep never hurt anyone.” Anyone with any knowledge of stress, anxiety or depression knows that going lacking sleep can be very disturbing and even treacherous. It can set off psychotic episodes. This book should be taken off the “self-help” lists.

I much prefered Dr. Weeks audio cassettes entitled “Pass thru Panic” which contains the same information in a much more organized format.

This book does help a small, for Anxiety/Panic Attacks. I’m not real sure how long ago it was written. In the book it says you should not get any different symptoms than what you have already dealt with. I don’t reflect that is right because I did produce more symptoms about 4 1/2 months into this illness. And I talked to additional people and they also had different symptoms than I had that were not in the book, one lady said she went temporarly blind. That is not one of the symptoms listed in this book. And it also talked about having Nervous Breakdown’s alot, which has nothing really to do with Anxiety Attacks that I know of. But it does list and talk about some of the common side effects of the illness and clarifies about them.

If you are an atheist not ready for conversion, steer clear of this book. Aside from the outdated unscientific insights, albeit well proposed, I was place off by the “Place vengeance to God” (p 108) and “So to tell people to place their faith in God and let Him cure them works only for persons who have such faith and know how to apply it. These are indeed blessed. The others must be shown the way.” (p 180). What? MUST be shown the way? Proselytizing to the core. Sorry atheists, no hope for you. Any self help book worth its weight should be devoid of such deriding religious bias missing practical scientific application. I recommend reading David Ramsay Steele as a replacement for.
