   I just bought the Kindle version of this today. I judge that the search feature has been updated based on the additional reviews I have read. The first page of each book allows you to choose any chapter from that book and go there directly as a replacement for of paging through. Each chapter also now has the book title before the number. For example if I am looking up Romans 3:23 I can type in Romans 3 and it will allow me to choose Romans 3 from the bookmarks and takes me to the first verse in the chapter. When paging through, each chapter now lists the book that it came from so you wouldn’t become reasonably so lost. (Romans 1, Romans 2 etc…) You only have to look as far as the closest chapter heading to figure out which book you are in although each page still only lists the locations at the bottom and not the book you are in. Each verse is not bookmarked so I have to page through the verses in each chapter to find the one I am looking for as I cannot search for chapter and verse. Depending on the part of the chapter this could take a while but it is much better than only searching for the book and having to page through each chapter. The words of Christ are still in light gray although I don’t find this to be much of a limitation. In some lighting it might be more of a problem. All in all I am reasonably pleased.

   I like to listen to the Bible Alive! Dramatized: New Living Translation. It’s a First Edition version (1996), and I can’t find an eBook, pdf, doc or txt file of it. I know the 1 ed. has some translation issues, but it’s well done. It’s more accurate than TLB. I don’t know the VERY conspicuous lack of this version online. The only one I’ve establish is very hard to use. The publisher should place the ancient version online as a pdf, doc, eBook, Kindle book, or txt file. If I could contact the publisher directly I would. Hopefully they’ll see it on my reviews and consider doing this!

   I have many different bibles. The NLT is one of my favorite versions–it’s simple to read and simple to know during today’s trying times. This bible is more of a personal sized, hardback bible. One thing I like is that it stays open when you set it down on the table, so I don’t lose my place. I’m very pleased with this bible.

   I really like how the information from the New Living Translation (NLT) Bible is written in contemporary English.
