I very much loved this book. The digital pointer was wonderful, wading through Lovecraft’s earlier works (which could be comparable to the beasts he describes in terms of pleasantness) to get to his fantastic later works would be generally unpleasant. The inclusion of a Biography, added a much needed touch of reality to the book although it was comparably fleeting (it’s a very large book).
The brilliance comes with the fact that the biography doesn’t try to present Lovecraft as a excellent person. He was a disgusting, racist, and close minded man that has as many personality disorders as a mental hospital. The book admits it, and doesn’t falter to show his worse books and more terrible poems. It embraces every aspect of H.P. Lovecraft’s life, excellent and terrible.
This collection of like crafts works (and biography) is s perfect combination of man and mythos. Not the cheapest but personally it’s worth it for the pointer and a generally more perfect collection. All I can say is that whether you’re a long time fan or just getting into his works, this book is worth the $3.99.

I find this to be an brilliant Lovecraft collection. I read this on my Kindle and on my iPad with the Kindle for iPad app. This is a fantastic buy at a very low fee and is sure to keep fans of Lovecraft entertained and looking over their shoulders for some time.

Brilliant collection of Lovecraft’s work. This has to be one of the most perfect collections I’ve establish and it fantastically formatted for the kindle. It has a couple spelling errors around, but it is a levelheaded product and by far the most perfect one around. Every major and minor Lovecraft tale is here and organized in chronological order, even persons missing are simply listed in the Table of Contents with no link to the tale, allowing the reader to keep track of everything he has written.
Having never read his earliest stuff, I was reasonably shocked with how horrid his writing was in the beginning, but by around 1906 it quickly turns into the brilliant literary craftsmanship for which Lovecraft is known. It is entertaining to watch his evolution and see the brutal fleeting-falls along the way. There are even some rather unique tales like “Sweet Ermengarde,” an incredibly unique and bizarre Lovecraftian comedy. Well worth the $4.

I compared this collection to the others, and while not the cheapest it seemed to contain the most content and more importantly was better organized and well formatted for reading on my Kindle.
Having read only the first 6% while having spent as much time with it I an afford, I’ve establish only minor issues and most of persons are simply with Lovecraft’s inclination to use older spellings (though, to a smaller extent the peculiarity of some words) and some minor formatting issues in the first tale.
Certainly consider this edition if your looking for a collection of H.P. Lovecraft’s works.

A lot of thought and care was obviously place into this nice and humongous collection of Lovecraft tales. If you are a fan of lovecraft or horror then this is the only collection of his you’ll ever need. A whopping 101 tales of his are included in this one volume, many of which I’d never heard of. I like that the table of contents for tales includes his works that are lost (but obviously not included). The linked table of contents for the tales are arranged chronologically in the order he wrote them, which is appealing because it shows the progression of the various stages of themes in his writing, and each tale’s title page includes the date written and published information.
Also included are 45 of his poems. This is my first introduction to his poetry, and I read somewhere that Lovecraft considered himself first and foremost a poet. This isn’t the entire collection of his poems, but, but after looking through the bibliography of his poems (included in this volume) it’s simple to see why. Lovecraft wrote hundreds upon hundreds of poems, which would make up an entire book in itself.
The inclusion of the Lovecraft wiki and bibliography is a nice touch as well and includes a biography and discussion of the themes and influences in his works. The book is well formatted and certainly the best bang for your buck. Highly recommended!
