Most of this book is incredible. In math, for example, the leader has 101 very technical questions, to pinpoint what you need to learn in material, and then covers the techniques of the questions, which is what the SAT tests, mostly. I have no distress believing that his book will really raise your IQ. His section on the critical reading section is also fantastic, with him including vital lating and greek roots, prefixes and suffixes in addition to a long list of english words, an thought which is so brilliant that I marvel why nobody else does that.
I’m only giving it 3 stars, but, due to two major flaws. One is that the writing section is obviously tacked on to the rest of the book. His 14 questions that are supposedly the elite questions for determining if you can get into top colleges (basically, questions with a trick to them, lacking which they’re extremely hard), consist of 7 math and 7 critical reading. Writing appears nearly only in the five full practice tests, and in a handful of questions in the chapter on the writing test (questions which effectively comprise the writing test chapter).
Furthermore, the questions are simple. I got 14/14 on the elite questions – this whilst doing them in my head. Flipping through the practice tests, I could do the toughest math questions in my end easily.

I admit that I am not the best math student, but I reflect the math tests in this book are too hard and the explanations are not clear enough. The fact that the tests are harder than the real SAT’s tests is not terrible in and of itself, but sometimes the questions are so hard that I just end up skipping entire sections out of frustration. The reading and writing sections are filled with common sense strategies like: come up with your own answers before looking at the choices and reading carefully. They also give you a ridicously long vocab list (3,400) to study. Honestly, your time would be better spent just doing practice vocab questions. Overall, I was disappointed with this book and would not reccomend it to anyone. After spening money on this book I still had to go out and buy another math book, hopefully I will have better luck this time.

Book is fantastic for hard strategy and quality of tests. Just wanted to share one mistake that my son establish in this book (he is 12 so he couldn’t write this review) – Math, test 4, Section 8, Task 13 – right answer is A, they wrote 8x+ky=19 in answer as a replacement for of 8x-ky=19 as in task itself.
