I loved reading the book by Mr. Lamb. The content was brilliant. But, his use of language, sentence structure, and comma splices is the worst I’ve ever read. He is not to blame. He clearly states he is not a writer and I accept that. But, he should have hired an editor of sufficient skill to right his shortcomings. I felt it interfered with some of the message manner of language. Although his casual language style is simple to read, it comes off as very amateurish. I do reflect it was very informative and would recommend it to persons who want to learn shooting techniques from a name who has practical experience.

I was issued this book and am thankful I did not have to pay for it. I establish the maintenance parts to be very basic, common knowledge theme matter. I establish the shooting stances ridiculously unrealistic. By that I mean, as a Soldier, we wear bulky Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Heavy, cumbersome body armor, ballistic helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and ballistic eyewear. Not to mention the ammunition, medical supplies, a 3 day assault pack and water. All told this is anywhere from 60-80 pounds of additional weight. My point here is, what excellent is a book of demonstrative stances being performed by a guy in a polo shirt, denims and a baseball hat? Show me something I can teach my Soldiers that better their chances on the battlefield taking into account all the equipment we wear. On that note, this book is just as useless to the Law Enforcement community as well seeing that they (especially SWAT Officers) wear basically the same equipment we do. Bottom line, if you are a novice shooter lacking a requirement to wear any kind of PPE, this book MIGHT be worth the money. If you are a Soldier or LE Personnel, save your money. This book is useless to you.

I preferred Gabriel Suárez book titled Tactical Rummage though: The Precision Tool For Urban Police Operations. A small dated compared to Ret. SGM Kyle E. Lamb book but a better read for a novice shooter like myself. You will learn more about current equipment used on the M4 style carbine in Green Eyes and Black rifles. I will keep both books in my reference library.

…sorry to say it ongoing to fall apart the minute it came out of the shrink-wrap. The book seperated from the take in at the spine and pages ongoing to seperate as well. I’ll either have to hot glue it back together, ot three hole punch it into a binder. Not a quality printing job for the fee.
