I didn’t delight in it ! I just didn’t feel anything for the characters and I look for that when reading a book.

For Rose Hathaway, life as a Guardian-in-training at St. Vladimir’s College is never simple.
While her best friend, future charge, and sole remaining member of the royal family tree member (Lissa) may no longer be in direct danger, the Strigoi (persons vampires who drink blood, possess super-might, have red pupils, and also have no qualms about using their powers over the fundamentals as a method of attack) are still the greatest threat facing their Moroi counterparts.
Rose and her number-one crush, instructor Dimitri Belakov, learn just how significant this threat is when they arrive at what should have been Rose’s make-up Qualifier exam with famed Guardian Arthur Schoenberg. What they find as a replacement for is seven royal Moroi, massacred in their own home along with their Guardians – and evidence that the Strigoi are now being helped by humans.
With Christmas trip drawing near, St. Vlad’s is on high alert and not terribly inclined to unleash their students into the fantastic wide world. A school meadow trip to an exclusive Moroi ski lodge is the perfect solution, not just for a Moroi seeking to elude the Strigoi, but also for Rose, who’s looking to escape two recent female campus arrivals – one of whom has a history and penchant for flirting with Dimitri.
What guests from St. Vlad’s and elsewhere will soon realize, though, is that their enemies are much closer than they reflect.
FROSTBITE is an engrossing, complex paranormal follow-up to VAMPIRE ACADEMY, with a page-turning plot and deeply layered characters, whose growth and development over the course of the novel is believable and (in some cases) inevitable. Though there were a few scenes that lagged, I had a hard time putting this book down even for necessities like eating and sleeping.

I am a bit disappointed; the ending was a bit too rushed and overdramatic. What happened to Mason left me really mad at him for being so stupid, but I don’t blame him or Rose. I just reflect the ending could have been so much better. And, not that I don’t like Dimitri, but he wasn’t as appealing as Adrian in this one. I wanted more to take place between Adrian and Rose, but everything just happened a bit predictably with them. Lissa ongoing being a bit of a hypocrite again, which bothers me more than it should. It just seems to me that Lissa thinks she a better person than Rose, even though she’s done some things that Rose hasn’t done. I really don’t want to give anything away, but you’ll know what I mean when you read it.
These are just a few things that I felt irritated me while reading it; I am madly in like with this series and will definally get the third book as soon as I can. I’m just hoping the third one will be more satisfying. There’s more romance and flirting than in the first. But it still lacked some of the satisfaction and intrigue the first one delivered. It’s worth it to read it. It’s a pretty quick read in comparison to the first one. I finished it in four hours and loved getting caught up by the plot.

I bought this and the privious book becase of the auther. I really like her book I read both books in tow days. I could not place this book down. Every page was like a gift. By the end of the book I was crying, it could have been becase it was 4 am and I’d been up all day but I don’t reflect so. The ending leaves you wanting more I don’t know IF I can wait till nov when the next book comes out. The ending is wonderful made you feel things were right even thought terrible things take place in the world.
