Product Description
The New York Times bestselling series.
When Anita Blake meets with prospective client Tony Bennington, who is desperate to have her reanimate his recently deceased wife, she is full of sympathy for his loss. Anita knows something about like, and she knows everything there is to know about loss. But what she also knows, though Tony Bennington seems unwilling to be convinced, is that the thing she can do as a necromancer isn’t the miracle he thinks he needs. The creature that Anita could coerce to step out of the late Mrs. Bennington’s grave would not be the lovely Mrs. Bennington. Not really. And not for long.

fantastic writing, loved the tale line. In the Auido version there are some sound affects that really dont need to be there.
The mind sees better lacking them.

This is technically the 18th Anita Blake book, but people should go into this understanding that Flirt is a Tale, it is a fleeting novel that is meant to help with the long wait between books. Laurell K Hamilton expressed many times that this book was like Micha, it just sort of happened. We will get a full fledged Anita tale this spring/summer. I cant stand all the complaining that this is too fleeting, there is product description on Amazon for a reason, look at the page count there. I must say that this was a fantastic Anita tale, there was just enough for to hold me over till Bullet comes out.

Loved “Flirt” – a tasty sample until “Bullet” comes out in June. More like a novelette, I devoured “Flirt” in one sitting and finished with a smile of satisfaction. Anita at her best, all on her own and doing what she does best – focusing on what’s in front of her and using everything she’s got to protect her loved ones. Fantastic mix of Anitaverse fundamentals – power of all kinds, werelions, tasty and treacherous characters, just unadorned crazy folk, nice action, new and promising facets to the ardeur and Anita’s necromancy, cozy ending(did miss the vampires but sounds like they will get lots of play in “Bullet”.) Loved the flirt scene in the diner. Also really loved LKH’s postscript describing how she gets her thoughts and the writing process.

Don’t know why this books is getting crappy reviews… you guys already knew it was fleeting didn’t you– you know before you bought it? If you didn’t– bring shame on on you– terrible, terrible shoppers.
Anyways, I’m a die-hard fan of Anita and Hamilton and loved it. Sure its fleeting but its still Anita and I reflect it offers a excellent go toward the next book due to come out in June. Two Anita books in one year… yeah, I can deal with fleeting– maybe the publishers could’ve cut us a deal, maybe cut-rate the fee a bit– but even adage that I’m not sorry I bought it.
If you’re a fan of Anita Blake novels from start to end, meaning from the beginning of the series to the end– you’ll delight in this one and will only be upset when its all over. If you’re not a fan– simple… don’t bother.
I gave it four stars based on its size. That extra fifth star would have been earned if I could have satisfied my Anita fix just a teensy-weensy bit longer…
