Extremly hard read. The leader must have been born in the 1700s. Much of the book reads like the Declaration of Independance. “For abolishing the free system of English laws in a neighboring province, establishing therein an arbitrary government, and enlarging its boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule in these colonies” This may be proper english but when you are attempting to quickly get information it can be frustrating. The book has excellent information but I need a Yoda-speak translater to know it. Very disappointed with this book, was I.

This book is quaint, extremely outdated, especially regarding financial questions. Marketing isues are comng around again to where some things make sense. I establish a number of the sections and chapters helpful in gaining insight into intense grazing, but a number were simply of small use. If you are looking for a path to being off the grid, there were some helpful instructions, but you would have to find a source for ice to make them work. If you are lucky to have a cold spring you can substitute for the ice, perhaps you could make do.

Although not all of the information is significant or accurate today, this book gives excellent details and suggestions for any homesteader. It is all ears towards homesteading not to tiny scale agriculture, because it doesn’t focus on the farm as a business. Excellent book, highly recommend it to anyone who dreams of developing a life independent from the throws of modern culture.
Excellent luck to all of you out there growing food for the world!
