Being from St. Louis, I’ve met the Warners a few times before – starting in the 1999 football season. I met them again at the signing for this book. Kurt is basically the same, but Brenda has changed reasonably a bit over the years. Both of the Warners try to give the impression in the book that they’re “just unadorned folks” and that the money hasn’t changed them. Don’t judge it. Brenda has changed a lot since the first time I saw her. In the early days of her fame, the days of the spiked gray hair(
see book photos), she was much more genuine and humble. Now, in her days of the long blond-haired Barbie doll (see book photos), she seems to take herself much too seriously.
There are additional fundamentals I was disappointed in: the shots at the St. Louis media – uncalled for because Brenda ALWAYS ongoing the problem first by her constant calling into radio shows; the shots at Hannibal, MO – a quaint small river town lacking pretensions; the disclosure of Kurt’s Superbowl ring being establish under the sofa with Brenda’s deodorant -tryng TOO hard to sound “just so average”; the intro from their daughter Jessie talking about how fantastic they both are – using your child to further your own goals?
Hey Kurt, if you wouldn’t have won the Superbowl chances are you’d be forgotten by now. Hey Brenda, if Kurt wouldn’t have married you chances are nobody would still know who you are. Show SOME appreciation, huh?

I did not buy this book, a friend questioned me to read it and reasonably frankly I was relieved that I didn’t spend any money on it. The Warners seem like a nice enough family tree, I was raised in a very large family tree myself (11 sisters and 1 brother)and although my parents didn’t have all the “Warner Rules”, we all grew up to be fantastic adults. I reflect parenting is basically using alot of common sense and like. I was just frankly bored with this book. I got to the point where I just read Kurt’s chapters because Brenda was reminding me to much of Kate Gosselin. I also am a mother of a special needs daughter and I appreciate that the Warners have formed their foundation First Things First, there are so many kids out there that need programs that have loving, caring people helping them achieve more in life.

I am not a Christian nor a member of any additional religion. I only watch football occasionally. I have been a parent for over fifteen years now. Reading this book factually blew my mind– Kurt Warner is a regular guy who happens to be an NFL quarterback and also very religious. His wife seems a small weird.
When I had finished this book, I was left with just one question: “Why do you judge what you judge?”

This book intrigued me for many different reasons. I have admired Kurt Warner for his faith in the limelight of football. I find it fascinating that they have 7 kids and some sanity. I have read a book by Jennifer Schuchmann so when I saw she helped with this I knew the writing would be excellent.
I loved how they set the record straight from the beginning of their relationship to now.
So many times, you hear tales on how people meet,what their lives are like and this book gives you the facts from all sides.
Many times we glamorize additional’s lives and I reflect this book shows the hardships they endured to get where they are today. I also loved the rules they use for their family tree and how everyone is in tune to the rules. With 7 kids that can’t be an simple task.
They clarify each child in such detail that by the end of the book I felt as though I knew each one of them. I loved how they would give Kurt’s tale and Brenda’s tale in each of the chapters. They have differing views but they manage to mesh their views and respect the additional’s feelings. I reflect it’s a excellent parenting book but also a excellent book on a successful marriage and what it takes to get to that point. Faith is a huge part of their lives and they never downplay that.
I would absolutely recommend this book for everyone..not just Kurt Warner fans

After reading this, its clear that Kurt is as successful off the meadow as he is on it. Of course, his wife Brenda is clearly a huge part of that success as well. Together they show how they provide a sense of normalcy for their 7 kids and maintain a pleased marriage in spite of all the challenges and distractions linked with the world of celebrity. They show how adhering to the right rules and principals and maintaining excellent communication with all family tree members is key to building it all work. They provide detail on the ways they’ve managed to keep their kids close with one another and prevent the dreaded sibling rivalry that is so common in today’s families. At the same time, Brenda makes the book a fun read by including amusing tales and humorous examples. This is certainly a must read for anyone looking for fantastic tips on raising kids and maintaining a pleased marriage.
