Face the Fire is the third and last book in bestselling leader Nora Roberts’s trilogy of witches, magic, and an age-ancient curse that started with Dance upon the Air and Heaven and Planet. This novel boasts a plain seaside setting, sympathetic characters, and enough details about the practice of magic to intrigue the most cynical of readers. This is Roberts at her best. Don’t miss it. –Lois Faye Dyer

THE FIRST OF THE TRILOGY WAS THE BEST, AND YOU CAN’T READ THE THIRD WITHOUT READING THE FIRST, SO STRIKE ONE. READING THIS ONE MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS BACK IN HIGH SCHOOL BRIT LIT TRYING TO UNDERSTAND BEOWULF. I COULD USE SOME CLIFF NOTES. VERY LITTLE STORY, JUST A BUNCH OF WORDS STRUNG TOGETHER, STRIKE TWO. THE RIPLEY CHARACTER STILL REMAINS ABRASIVE AND ANNOYING AND I GOT BORED WITH THAT….STRIKE THREE.

I truly loved the Three Sisters Trilogy… also “A Small Magic”. I establish the Cordina tales rather hard to end, as the storyline and characters seemed very “slow”. Highly recommend for Nora Roberts fans to check out Judith McNaught titles, too! I particularly loved “Something Wonderful”, “Double Standards” and “Once and Again”.

This was no where near as excellent as the first two books. I was extremely disappointed with this last of the triology. There was no suspense with this one, lacked the mystery that the additional two had. Too much sordid sex and not enough of the magic from Three Sisters Island. Very disappointing…….

Face the Fire was the least inviting of the Three Sisters Island Trilogy. Mia’s tale was only hinted at in the first two books, but her tale in Face the Fire was more frustrating than entertaining and at times redundant and annoyintg. If I were Sam I would have kicked her to the curb and left the island. No one has that much patience! I should have reread Heaven and Planet.
