I was really excited when I started to read this book. I like history and WWII is probablly my favorite war. The first half of the book is really excellent and suprising. I thought I was in for a excellent read. The tale had so much potential. I was dissapointed when the leader described the man , Henry Faber, with such expertise at the beginning but then turned his personality really around at the end. To be a suspence thriller the plot was simple guessed and the key element of suprise was left out. The leader failed to make the book the slight bit realistic by leaving out any trace of human error in his charachters. I permanently knew what was going to take place and was dissapointed when I dicovered my conclusions were right.

Mama bear v spy.
In this case, not a tale I bought into, as a mother and child get in the way of an enemy agent’s plans, and must fight to survive.
There’s also a movie, which in this case I really thought was better, something that is pretty rare.
This is passable enough, but that is about it.

I like ken Follett and have listened to both jackdaws and hornet flight on tape. Persons books were so extremely brilliant, but this one is not as fantastic. I am not a huge fan of the different voices, and the narrator talks really really quick, which is hard becuase then you can’t follow along. This one is just ok.

I agree and reflect Ken Follet is a fantastic writer, but what is everyone raving about? Yes, this book was exciting, but it just didn’t hit the spot for me completely. I defedently reflect others should read it, but I sadly was not as impressed as I thought I would be.
