When I did finally buy this book, I must say I felt a small cynical about reading it. I mean, any book that professes to help an individual make actual changes in their lives should be viewed suspiciously. But, after I finished with school, took a trip, relaxed at the pool, and overcame my dread of a brick and huge gun bookstore, I bought this book. From there it sat on my shelf for several weeks.
At first I wanted to end some of the additional books I had in my personal library (a.k.a. “The Royal Throne”). A few weeks passed before I gave up that endeavor. It wasn’t because of a lack of time – I usually spend about 75 minutes in my personal library, but I recently got a subscription to “The Week”, which happens to be a really excellent magazine featuring the week’s past events. You should check it out – it succinctly puts together all the events from around the world in a couple of paragraphs. It also has a lot of pictures.
Then I committed myself to reading this book. Sorry to say I noticed that my eyeglasses were no longer useful, as my vision has changed since I bought them four years ago (I normally wear contact lenses). I don’t permanently wear eyeglasses when I read, but I didn’t want to start a book lacking building sure that if I wanted to, that I could read it wearing glasses. Sometimes my eyes get dry and I have to remove my contacts prematurely. Though, truth be told, I don’t read when my eyes get dry. The need for glasses was, perhaps, more of an insurance than a necessity.
When I finally did get around to reading the book, I was pleasantly surprised. This wasn’t some huckster pitching a product, diet, or miracle cure. Nay, it t’was a seemingly honest guy talking about how you can change your life – sort of like the book The Secret, only not full of crap. That book is perfect hocus pocus BS. I was very miserable about nearly reading it.
Sorry to say I had to place the book down because of a crisis at work required my attention. Once it was down, I establish it extraordinarily hard to pick back up – a full 7 hour day of work is extremely tiring. Sometimes I marvel how I have time to even write reviews for Amazon. I’m a truly incredible individual.
I only made it up to Chapter 15 (though I did skip Chapter 6 – I was implementing what he was preaching so I didn’t waste time on “Now”). I swear I’ll end the remaining chapters when I get around to it. Then I’ll post another review wrapping it all together.

There is something “missing” from the write up/data/ for this Audio Book.
Would you know that “RAM DASS” is also featured on this set? Nope. Not unless you had read it “somewhere else” or can read the tiny type on the front of the CD BOX. WHY AM I POINTING THIS OUT? Because Ram Dass is a vital figure that should not be forgotten or overlooked.*** To quote the front of the box: “Includes a Bonus CD Featuring Ram Dass”. He’s ON THE take in. He SHOULD be included in the information that YOU have access to that helps you choose your buy. SO NOW YOU KNOW.

This is the first book I’ve bought by Dr. Dyer. I didn’t get past the 2nd page of the introduction.
He writes, “I choose thoughts that are congruous with the Fantastic Tao (God)…”, and this is where I stopped.
I thought I was getting a motivational/self help book, not words of a religion that I do not judge in.

This review is coming form a Christian prejudice point of view.
It has excellent practical ideals to avoid excuses and stay positive.
It has a mystical kind of Warlock feel that I had to listen past to get the excellent stuff.
Most positive books I judge when they are right are psalms and proverbs rewritten in practical form.
