Robert Brockway has been tickling my internet sides for over a year as a staff columnist on Cracked. Now all of my bibliophilic dreams come right when he writes a book about the horrific ways we, scenery, and the government are going to kill us all. EIGTKE:TTRWTWWYD is a long hard (dick joke) look at the results of our evil human machinations.

I’ll admit it – one of my guiltiest pleasures is learning about the potential apocalypse. Any end-of-humanity-as-we-know-it tales I can find, I really devour. Immediately upon hearing about Everything is Going to Kill Everybody, I preordered this book and Amazon, in its kindest of hearts, had it on my doorstep a day sooner than anticipated. Today was like Christmas morning, if Christmas presents were brightly-wrapped horror. Being familiar with Brockway’s writing and having read a sneak peek on Cracked, I felt I knew what to expect. It has blown my expectations out of the water. Everything is Going to Kill Everybody is equal parts hilarious and terrifying, packed with oh-so-quotable facts accented with amusing illustrations.
I probably should not have read this so near bedtime (that is, any time while awake). I am not entirely sure if I will be able to sleep tonight. Or ever again. Oh well, I’ll just sleep when I’m dead…

Robert Brockway writes for [...], a comedy website. He wrote this book. Cracked is my favorite website. Brockway is my favorite columnist on that website. I ordered this book six months ago, the day it was available for presale. Even after all that erect-up, this absolutely blew my expectations out of the water. You must read this book if you delight in schadenfreude, sunshine, or laughing.

Everyone dies. You can either die by one of the hilariously horrific methods (listed, categorically, in this book), or by laughing (merely by purchasing and reading this book). Seriously, who would have thought that a book about the end of the world as we know it could possibly so awesome as to save the species? A fantastic read for anyone who finds well-written humor to be hilarious.
(Quick warning: by the time you end, that one R.E.M. song will be stuck in your head indefinitely. Might as well have that on hand, you’re gonna need it)
