I reflect the book came in fantastic condition. My only complaint is it too way too long to get to
My house. Nearly a month. I ordered two books directly from amazon and they came within a couple of days. This book taking nearly a month was ridiculous!

This is an brilliant book for men and women and especially young people. I haven’t read it yet but I have read some of it. I reflect most of us are aware that so many of our thoughts are toxic but what do you do about it? This book is a life saver and can help us to live excellent, wholesome and fulfilled lives. I gave a copy to my daughter and my granddaughter who happens to really need it at this time. This book was introduced to me by my niece who thinks it is a real treasure.

“Every Thought Captive” is an brilliant book for women who have self-worth issues, who have distress with worry/anxiety, forgiveness, envy, lust, eating habits or body issues, depression, persons who pine for acceptance from others, and persons who get trapped into extreme business or fall into apathy. The leader covers problems, some common to everyone, but from a distinctly female perspective.
She shared tales of women who struggle with or have struggled with these issues. She then identified the root of the problem and shed the light of Biblical truth on the various lies women may judge who have this problem. Not every problem–or every lie listed under each problem–will apply to every woman. She deliberately gave a wide list to try to help the reader admit if they have the problem and to apply the truth that specifically addresses the lie they judge. The leader was never condemning in tone–many of these problems were lies she believed and the rest were lies her close friends have struggled with.
I really liked how she all ears on using the truths from the Bible, replacing the lies believed with the truth that frees. If you reflect you (or, in the case of men, your wife or daughter) may have a problem with one of the issues listed above, especially body issues (“I despise my body”), then I’d highly recommend this brilliant, simple to know book.
I received this book as a review copy from NavPress.

I read so many books where people beat around the bush and don’t get to the point of what they are trying to say b/c’s they are so inimidated to say it. This book was brilliant. The person who wrote the book was a very smart intelligent person. There are so many things that bring us down every single day. And the things we judge about ourselves and others are crippling to our lives sometimes. It really opened my eyes when Jerusha was talking about the lust issues that women face. I am a young married woman and its excellent to know you aren’t alone in the things that you feel and thats its normal. But now I can really nail on the head what I am feeling and realize that I can come against it in the name of Jesus! My spouse is not a strong Christian but this book shows me that if I can be an example even in the tiny things like looking at a nice looking man and wondering…. then I can learn to stop whereever that is going to take me next. I just turned 23 and was married at 20 so I can’t really pinpoint how Im feeling sometimes. It is excellent hearing this truth and thank you for trusting God and writing this book, and also for your wise insight.

The moment I started this book I started to reflect of people who might benefit, but then I stopped as I realized that I needed it. It’s thoughtful, insightful, and challenges each of us to allow our thought life to be transformed. I like the fact that Jerusha is honest and doesn’t pretend to have all the answers, and yet gently shows us the promise of change.
