beeings – waiting for relief from the priest! This guy
is smart psychiatric, stinging salt in peoples wound and
then scare them with the end of the world and the only
salvation is…of course a WASP!

Gosh, you humans will never change. You’re never lacking wars, either civil or inter-nation. Your bibles were written by you humans, and are fascinating in their diversity of opinion. Is Allah the same supreme being as God? You have no faith in yourselves, so anyone who proclaims himself any sort of messiah is glorified. Mr. Rosenberg seems to be one of the latest messiahs. And he does use up space reprinting parts of the Bible, for persons who have misplaced their own Bible.
Mr. Rosenberg spends a excellent amount of space relating how he wrote his books. Also a excellent amount of space relating why you should buy his books. Is that self-praise? He even refers to Rush Limbaugh, the additional extreme.
Judging by the number of people he has interviewed, I would have come to similar conclusions. Considering the number of politicians across your world, the Middle East is simply the latest location for upheavals. What’s new about that? Once the Middle East settles to some sort of normalcy in twenty years, another politician will choose that another area is in need of a shakeup. Mr. Rosenberg is not prescient, although he is excellent at analyzing you humans.
Fortunately, my copy was borrowed from the library. I would have been upset at spending excellent money.

This book is insane!
If you are a believer in Biblical Prophecy to the point of being blind about anything logical, this book is for you!
There is small to this book accept the belief that everything in the Bible will come to pass and that the one right God, Jesus Christ, will rule the world above all additional beliefs of additional Gods.
Maybe I’m just stupid, but I feel this is the same sort of propaganda that all religions preach…..that their God is the only right God. In this case, Jesus Christ.
It’s sad that the leader doesn’t skip a beat feeling sorry for the thousands of lives that will be sacrificed in a third world war, if we are so unfortunate to have one. On the contrary, he seems to be nervous for it to start, as it will result in the second coming of Jesus Christ! It’s like, “Oh well, people will die but it’s OK because we will have Christ here to make everything right!”
I respect the fact that people have a right to judge what they want, but really….isn’t this a small bit over the edge? It does seem that some religious people out there, calling themselves Christians, are just as nutty as the Terrorist that recruit their people to become suicide bombers, in the name of their God.
As for my belief, I reflect that the mad men of this century are all too willing to bomb each additional until only the cock roaches will be left to choose if it was all worth it, and if they will see Jesus Christ, Allah or some additional God return to planet.
The leader is a fanatic and a nut….trust me on this one.

The book starts out with some credibality from vital people than just falls back into a Christian plea to come to the “Lord”. Very miserable with the book and would not recommend it to anyone except Christians.

I read “Epicenter” with the expectation of obtaining objective, fact-based new insights on the troubled situation in the Middle East. As a replacement for, the book was a take in-to-take in one-sided diatribe against all persons who either already oppose Israel (eg. Iran), or persons who may in the near future (eg. Russia).
Rosenberg is entitled to his opinion; but, simply “believing” does not make it right, nor does bias help resolve problems. Examples: Rosenberg is right in pointing out Palestinian and Islamic faults; but, he “forgets” about Israel’s – eg. taking Palestinian land, killing and otherwise abusing Palestinians, or the U.S.’s – unrestricted international support for nearly EVERYTHING Israel does, as well as wide financial and military help. Then as an afterthought, Rosenberg criticizes Palestinians for reacting to Sharon’s sudden visit to a Jerusalem site revered by Muslims as well as Jews, accompanied by hundreds of Israeli police and his own despised reputation for prior slaughters.
Again, Russia (and perhaps China as well) may further complicate the Mid-East situation in the near future – on the additional hand, the U.S. would do well to stop chastising Putin et al, especially after our “experts” severely weakened Russia’s economy through advice that also allowed oligarchs to take advantage of increased democracy to loot much of the nation’s wealth. Then there is the matter of our invading Iraq on fake pretenses. Further, the rest of the world is well aware of the U.S.’s human rights abuses in Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, and various rendition locations, as well as the abuses of our election processes. As a result, our constantly scolding and lecturing them does not encourage cooperation in areas such as the Mid-East.
As for Iran – President Ahmadinejad does bring considerable cause for worry – but doesn’t our invading Iraq on fake pretenses make an initial cause for their concern, or our prior overthrow of their elected government to install the Shah? And what about Cheney/Bush refusing to negotiate with Iran pre-Ahmadinejad on its nuclear program (we wanted to dictate, not negotiate), or Bush’s condemning Iran (Axis of Evil) only a month after it helped in Afghanistan? (The latest – Bush’s refusal to question Iran for help vs. Iraq until it ceases its nuclear program displays idiotic logic.) It was appealing to read that Ahmadinejad is looking for an Islamic version of the apocalypse, but how is this different from all the evangelicals in the U.S. that are trying to bring about a Biblical version?
Finally, Rosenberg gets around to the current situation in Iraq. “When one views Iraq’s future through the third lens of Scripture, a much different picture emerges” – “strong, stable, and decisive central government” etc., etc. If only the Bible were as clear and credible (vs. additional religions) as Rosenberg thinks!
