Product Description
A fusion of simplicity, healthy ingredients and just-right quantities, these tasty, exciting new recipes are designed for today’s growing world of empty-nesters, couples lacking children and smaller households.
For millions of quick-paced, modern households, the ancient cookbook standard of “serves four” is increasingly outdated and a daily nuisance. With more than 77 million baby boomers adjusting to the Empty Nest Syndrome, and with their adult children setting up their own new homes, there is a mounting demand for quick, simple, healthy recipes yielding fewer servings.
But cooking for two people or even singles isn’t as simple as cutting a recipe in half. In EatingWell Serves Two, the award-winning editors and recipe developers for America’s leading food and nutrition magazine have made 150 dinner recipes from their hugely well loved “Healthy in a Hasten” and “Serves Two” columns to meet the point needs of smaller households.
More than a cookbook, EatingWell Serves Two provides a smart guide for how to shop in tiny quantities, how to store leftover ingredients, keep a well-stocked pantry and use simple cooking strategies that result in minimal waste while putting a healthy, tasty meal on the table in 45 minutes or less.
Filled with mouthwatering photography and tips on shopping, preparation and simple cooking for two with healthy ingredients and lacking waste. Full-color throughout.

This book is full of recipes for things we would have never thought to make. But, the recipes call for spices and are just not up to our liking for pepper and salt. So we permanently have to add more to make it right. Every additional recipe we have made so far have been just OK and different. I would recommend this book only for people who want to figure out what kind of style of cooking they want. So excellent enough for us newlyweds.

Have really loved this cookbook-it is simple to use and has expanded our menue choices. The hard take in book is beautful and just fun to explore.

FINALLY a decent “healthy cooking” cookbook for a two person household!! I haven’t yet tried the recipes in this book (but I’m building a list.) I have “The Eating Well Diet” and “The Essential Eating Well” cookbooks. I also subscribe to the magazine. So far, the recipes have all worked. I HIGHLY recommend any of these cookbooks as well as the magazine. I bought my sister a gift subscription to the magazine; she now also has several of the cookbooks.

These recipes make just the right amount for two average eaters. I especially liked the receipes for sauces lacking flour and butter. The tarragon chicken is one of our favorites, as well as the tangy non-mayomaise coleslaw dressing. Recipes geared for two servings are hard to come by so I really was pleased to find this book. I bought this book for my daughter as I have had mine for a year or so.

I really delight in cooking and eating the food from the recipes in this book! So far, I’ve had about 10 and thought they were all very excellent. The nutritional information is a huge plus for me, as well as some of the tips agreed with the recipes. The beginning of the book has a excellent bit of info on stocking your kitchen so that you can easily cook lacking having to go the the grocery. I certainly recommend this book.
