This is one of the few books that cost more than $9.99 at Kindle book store. I bought it after reading all the high-mark reviews. Sorry to say, while there are some useful information, I establish a lot of repetitive contents. This probably is excellent for readers who use it as a reference book from time to time, but for me it feels to some extent dull. As for reading this on Kindle, I don’t recommend it. Tables are hard to read – while it’s possible to zoom it up – the fonts in the talbes are so light in color that they are nearly lost in the background. The page doesn’t support side column that’s frequently featured in the book (I have the 6″ screen). So as a replacement for of showing up by the side of significant contents, the information in the side columns are placed after the paragraphs in a narrower column, building the reading feel to some extent disconnected. So overall, though I’ve learned something from it, I don’t reflect it’s worth the fee.

With all the five star ratings previously, I had high expectations for this book. Sadly, it did not live up to persons expectations and for one reason only: this book includes way too much information about chemicals and the harm they cause. Don’t get me incorrect, I want to know ‘generally’ about these things such as parabens, etc. but I don’t need a perfect list of every compound manufactured on the planet and what they do. I did not find that positive or motivating. Having said that, YOU may want to know! And, I would really buy this book again. It is a fantastic reference book that you could go back to over and over again. And, because it is so detailed, it would really help you find anything you could possible ever need. For example, later today I will be checking a website that she mentioned that sells eco-friendly lightbulbs that can be used with a dimmer switch! And I may take a look at a company that sells reclaimed wood for replacing my floors…It really is a fantastic book, I just felt that I was skipping over the parts which I didn’t have such an interest in.

This book encompasses pretty much everything you need to know to “go green.” I like the way the leader is very all ears on doing what’s best for your family tree and the environment, but at the same time, she likes convenience too. She doesn’t go overboard and expect you to perform miracles in your daily life, so pretty much everything she suggests (if not everything) is achievable for the average person. Very informative book, like reading it and putting the thoughts to excellent use for my family tree! I highly, highly recommend it if you have even the slighest want to “go green!”

This book is a delight to read and a treasure trove of helpful thoughts and information. There are clear, simple-to-follow directions throughout the book for building your own non-toxic and highly effective cleaning solutions. Renee Loux’s simple, breezy writing style explaining why green living is so vital is chatty, informative and wise.
My copy is already full of highlighted sections and tabbed pages, and every one of the recipes I’ve tried has been a success. If you don’t feel like mixing up your own concoctions, she has pages of recommended product choices that also work well.
I am especially pleased with the in-depth information about aromatherapy at home through the use of essential oils. We are so fortunate to live at a time when oils of peppermint, lilac, tea tree and so many others are easily and reasonably available. This book clarifies how to use all these essential oils throughout the home.
I’m already preparation to re-order for gifts, as I reflect anyone would find useful information here. So many books try to take in this area. Renee Loux succeeds!
